I wish I could say I had similar success. I took a 170 squat into the Smolov Jr. base cycle and then for the test I failed to lift 171
No increase in my O-lifts either, though I did put on 2 extra kilos of bodyweight
Maybe Smolov is like creatine - some of us are non-responsers!

Once again, nice work and get healthy soon!

It goes like that sometimes. I haven’t hit a 1RM PB on the FS in about 3months…have hit 2, 3 and 4RM randomly, but not a 1RM yet.
I haven’t really been working the lifts actually on account of a bum right shoulder. It is better now though, so I begin again today.
I’d mostly been doing position work, and form stuff with a stick.
I have not yet tested my jumps, but 48" is pretty much something I can always hit now. I’m planning on testing FS max friday this week, I haven’t taken a FS outside of warm-ups in about 2.5 months, so it will be fun to see.
I get a lot of carry over from BS to FS, so I am hoping to hit 300 for the first time.
As far as not being a responder, I did almost nothing else other than squat the whole time. Some walking and stretching on off days, and my re-hab work for the shoulder. But I was willing to let everything else slide awhile while I focused. Hopefully it comes back quickly!
