I just quit. It’s been twelve days and I feel great. I don’t know why it took me so long to do it. Have any of you quit after lifting for a few years? I wonder if I’ll have an easier time adding muscle since my body doesn’t have to waste energy repairing my lungs as much as it used to. I’ve already noticed that my rest periods have gotten shorter. I used to have to wait a couple of minutes to catch my breath and then I would drop the weight I was lifting by about ten pounds. Now I wait a minute and I can lift the same weight again. Has anyone else experienced the same type of thing I have. Since I’m doing so well in the gym I have no desire to start up and ruin my progress.
i was smoking on and off for about 2 years, but now i?ve nixed it for good. as of yet no problems with it, but i wasn?t smoking that much anyway, so i don?t notice much of a difference…
good luck…
Congratulations. I’ve been for over two years without a cigarrete and it was the best thing I’ve done in recent years. Smoking sucks. I’, now working sorrounded by cigarretes all day (up to 100 millions of them) and especially after I’ve known the shit that they put in them I ask myself daily how could I have smoked that shit.
