Are you a pothead, Focker?
Hahahahaha I’m so good at Madden when I’m high.
As soon as wrestling season ends (1 week), I’m totally lifting stoned to see if it helps my workouts. Totally.
hahaha, this thread is classic ![]()
I didn’t know tendonitis was considered a serious injury.
deffinantly one of the funniest post i’ve read.
Sorry to catch it a little late but like said by some one else.
K before a workout man wow.
No need for weed when you have K.
I’m totally lifting stoned to see if it helps my workouts. Totally.
Hahaha spoken like a true stoner!!
Try getting chronic achilles tendonitis. One of my clients got it about 14 years ago in both ankles…feels like someone is sawing through the back of your ankle. She went from about 150 to 315 and stayed that way for 12 years. I begged her to see a chiropractor, but being a doctor, she refused. Then her whole lower back, around the sacram, started to go out, she got shooting pain down her sciatic, and her feet were going numb. She started seeing a chiropractor and myofascial massage therapist and she’s finally feeling better after almost 15 years…and she’s down to about 235 ![]()
Don’t forget about that nice estrogen boost you’ll get from hittin the peace pipe.
muslehed and frontface:
Yes I’ve smoked more weed then an 18 wheeler could carry. I never said people shouldn’t smoke, just that I thought it was a bad idea to do it preworkout. If my answer sounded academic (textbook) it was just cause I was trying to get from point a to point b as succinctly as possible (Plus sometimes I adopt a kinda know-it-all tone on points which seem painfully obvious to me).
No tendinitis is not a serious injury it was mentioned merely to contrast with the serious injuries mentioned (ie not a stubbed toe but a broken bone).
Yes I suffered a broken bone in the weight room. In 1987 my partner and I walked into a “fitness center” in Columbia S.C., for a work out. There was a gorgeous korean girl named Kim Kim who did aerobics constantly, and as we stripped weight off a bar still sitting on the bench I was a little distracted. I didnt notice the 25 lb cast iron plate in front of the 45. I slid the 45 off watching Kim and the 25 did a free fall to my foot. Surgery, pins sticking out my toes for a couple of months etc. Since then I’m alot more careful around the weights and dont work out anywhere there are korean thong goddesses to distract me.
THC is also a bronchiodilator, so you will get more oxygen to the muscles. This may be a reason people think it helps.
Errr

‘THC is also a bronchiodilator, so you will get more oxygen to the muscles. This may be a reason people think it helps.’
That is a pretty erroneous statement as most people are talking about smoking weed and the smoke inhaled from a joint or bong contains more carcinogens, tar and carbon monoxide than cigarette smoke. CO definitely does not help with oxygen delivery! And smoke particles do not help much either.
Did a quick google on thes subject, here’s what I found.
Acute doses of cannabis and THC exert a definitive bronchodilator effect on the small airways of the lungs. The mechanism of this effect is not known, but it appears to be different from that of other drugs used at present as bronchodilators for asthma. However, there have been very few studies on the bronchodilator effects of cannabinoids in asthmatic patients. All of these were studies carried out in the 1970s. Tashkin et al. studied 14 asthmatic volunteers and compared smoked cannabis (2%THC), oral THC (15mg) and the drug isoprenaline (0.5%). They found that smoked cannabis and oral THC produced significant bronchodilatation of at least two hours duration. The effect of smoked cannabis was nearly equivalent to the clinical dose of isoprenaline. Smoked cannabis was also capable of reversing experimentally induced bronchospasm in three asthmatic subjects.
Um ya, that’s a great reason to smoke before lifting ![]()
One toke of the one-hitter-quitter, wait till my eca/pd kicks in. Ice Cube, Mack 10, and Dub C in the walkman on it’s all over.
Ive done it and it was fantastic. I was able to focus really well and work through more pain.

I am not disputing that even smoking cannabis has a bronchiodilatory effect but that still doesn’t take into the account the effect of carbon monoxide.
It has been estimated that smoking a cannabis cigarette (containing only herbal cannabis) results in an approximately five-fold greater increase in carboxyhaemoglobin concentration. Carboxyhaemoglobin is formed when carbon monoxide binds with haemoglobin. This prevents the normal transfer of carbon dioxide and oxygen during the circulation of the blood. Increasing levels of it result in various degress of asphyxiation.
So I don’t think you will see increases in cardiovascular performance from hitting the weed prior to a workout. Maybe if you ate a space-cake…
what the hell is a space cake?
It is a sponge cake (chocolate generally to disguise the taste) with the cannabis ground up and dissolved into melted butter. This butter is then used in the cake mix.
If you’ve never tried its a great way to take in large amounts of THC and get hallinogenic effects akin to tripping in some cases!
