Small Container for Powders

OK, I love the freebie Spike bullet. But how about some kind of container (vial?) that held only a serving or two of powder (ie: Surge, Metabolic Drive, etc)?

I always find myself lugging my container of Surge to and from training sessions. It’s awkward and I end up spilling precious powder all over as I prepare my post workout serving.

It would definitely need a dependable screw on lid to avoid disasterous spills and some kind of smaller “spout” to easily get the powder into bottles.

Seems simple enough - does something like this exist?

You can just bring a shaker bottle with you to the gym, with JUST the Surge in it. Bring a bottle of water and dump it in when you need it. Plus, a poland spring bottle is already 16 oz which makes it VERY easy.

Why not just put the powder in your shaker bottle ahead of time and just add water when you’re ready to mix?

Personally, I found that Surge is even better when mixed and left in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours.

I already have some of these, only they are not made by Biotest.

Here in my country they are called ‘zip-lock sandwhich bags’.

those little gatorade powder containers, once you’ve used the gatorade you can put protein powder in it.

Not the big ones, but the little ones with a screw top.

Or just make your shake ahead of time.

Tupperware should be able to hook you up.

I use the “snack size” ziplocks to carry my Surge and creatine to training sessions. They can probally fit up to around 90 grams of powder in there comfortably.

Please tell me more. What are these so called, “zip-lock sandwhich bags”?

The other day I saw some shaker bottles at GNC. They looked pretty nice too. I was thinking of picking some up but I already have a bunch that this other company sent me when I was using their protein. I would head to GNC and check them out.

I think they were kinda expensive like $5 a piece, but if you’ve got $10 to spair all you would really need is 1 for regular use and 1 backup for emergencies. The emergency being that you may need some Surge AND a protein shake :-).

Small plastic baggie?

zip-lock baggies work. if you have a Vitamin Shoppe nearby, or if you can find it online, they sell really nice, durable shakers for about 2.50 a piece. I have a few of these, and they are good for a just-add-water portable shake.

Nalgene bottles are the best in my mind. I’ve tried dozens of bottles and nothing even compares. I use the “wide mouth” ones - the 1 litre (great for PWO shakes) and 500 ml (plain protein shakes). No leaks, no spills, wide top so no spilling powder on the way in, and best of all they last forever (or until you lose it!).

I use a small Tupperware bottle type thingy with a large mouth so it’s easy to wash out afterwards… just use what you’ve got for convenience & size…

Do you have a dollar store near you? Try them? I find all kinds of containers at my dollar store?

Do you have any large bottles of vitamins or anything around your house? When it’s empty, use that?

You really need a spout to get the powder into the bottles? Do you have a palsy or something?

Try this or use old Power Drive containers. Then you wont have to be limited to one serving that you storage in a shaker bottle.

Agree with the idea of putting dry powder in a shaker. An alternative would be to use an old Spike bottle?
