Sleep Quality and Hormones

Last few years I believe getting older I don’t sleep as well. I sometimes wake up hot in the face and just can’t get comfortable. I usually have no issues falling asleep. I thought when I started trt it would help sleep but honestly no change. What other hormones could be causing less quality sleep. Some nights I sleep better than others. Caffeine is always in the morning so not sure.

I was having major issues with sleeping. Especially waking up throughout the night. TRT at first made sleeping worse then it went back to about the same as pre-trt until I started this. Here’s what an endo here told me to do and it worked for me.

Before bed:
Magnesium glycinate 400-600mg
L-tryptophan 500mg
Melatonin (dosage debatable) 2.5mg

I bought mag glycinate & L-tryptophan from Amazon. The brand is bulk supplements power. You can get a years worth of each for what it costs for a month worth in pill form. The melatonin I bought on Amazon as well. Natrol fast-dissolve 5mg melatonin and break in half.

This combo has fixed my sleep issues completely. You’ll have some immediate relief but it takes a couple weeks for full benefits.
