They’re very supportive!

For front squats especially. Just not split squats.

Cardiac Rehab-

5 min. Walk at 2 mph, zero grade.

20 min. Walk at 2.5 mph. 2% grade.

15 min. on airdyne, between 54-60 rpm. But didn’t set off the cardiac lunk alarm, so yay!

It all felt good. The walking is cake, and they’ll probably bump up my speed a little next week. I Love the people there. The one woman is 37 weeks along and will be out on maternity leave soon, but it was so nice to see her big smile and warm welcome. Big  .

Refueling

Yum! :yum:

Oh yeah! Lest I forget, I used the convection/airfry feature on some frozen fries. Freakin Amazing! They went from frozen to crispy golden brown in 10 minutes.

I’m really going to have to learn how to use that feature for real food too. It was incredible.

Did a bunch of pump stuff last night, bi’s, delts, and overhead press, everything for like 20 rep sets until dinner.

Today, a bunch of welding & fabrication at my buddies place. It was already warming up pretty good, then throw on the ppe and it was just ass. But good and productive.

:sun_with_face: Smiley Sun Says “Fuck your feelings, Nancy. This shit needs done!”.

Oh I’m paying for toughing it out yesterday.

Did the cardiac rehab routine but but was dragging ass badly. Still am, really. Going to just eat and sleep for like a day.

:poop:.

Feel better !

Thank you. I just need rest. My overall work capacity and general activity just kinda sucks. I always have the drive to do more while I’m doing something, then once I stop and rest I’m dead.

An old theme for me and many of my behaviors is “Consequences dont stop me because by the time they land, I’ve already gotten what I wanted.”.

It still holds true often enough.

Weld skills are coming back up though. Putting a bucket for a skid steer back together, and it still needs a fair bit of TLC, so I’ll have plenty of work to brush up with.

And this.

For recovery purposes. I always feel really run down when I’m low on pizza. I must have been nearly empty.

I like to keep a back up pizza with me for situations like these.

Pizza is life.

That is all

Missed cardiac rehab tonight and will probably miss a couple more sessions, but got something in.

Circuit style with 85 lb. barbell, 4 rounds:

Front squats 3 reps.

Bent over barbell rows 8 reps.

OHP 5 reps.

Generally dragging ass. The rows feel great, and for what ever reason I can do way more, usually 160 or so for 8-10 reps, just didn’t feel like switching weight and all that.

Ohp felt fine, as it should have.

Front squats just blew. The bracing and intra-abdominal pressure was like squeezing the life out of me.

Oh well. Onward and upward, right?

Also gotta loosen up the right side itb. Knee felt unstable and generally wonky on that side.

Some days are like that . . . but then a “bad” workout is better than none, so it’s a win, really . . .

Yeah, but I really think I should hold of on the really high pressure stuff, like front squats until further notice. That one had my head spinning for a good while.

I’m going to have to stick with the lighter higher reps and airdyne. Maybe some pushups.

Nothing wrong with that!

Its that impatience we were joking about a few posts back!

I want to be better/stronger right now! Meanwhile the cardiac therapist who did my intake, his eyes still have not returned to an unbugged out state.

Hmm . . . channel your inner Yoda, you must . . .

Airdyne tonight: 5.7 miles in 30:29.

Nice & easy.

Have my car in the shop for some much needed repairs, hence my absence from cardio rehab.

So I did this instead.

Looks like you’re on the right track. Well done! Your internal Yoda would be proud!

Nothing better on a sunny sweltering afternoon!
