Jim, I see your point. I like to ask questions and find out other people’s veiw points, especially in this industry. You always learn something new.

They probably start of fresh-faced and fit then they start hitting up the doughnut shops and it’s downhill from there.
The cops here in my town base their fundraising efforts around…you guessed it…the local Krispy Kreme.

That’s great that you like to ask questions. I am more than happy to answere if you haven’t figured that out already lol
there is so much info out there now because of the Internet. So many quick fixes. As I am sure you have noticed the more people get away from the basics. The more out of shape weak people there are. 90% of the info out there applies to 10% of the people.
I watch people waist there time everyday doing all sorts of fluff … Hours and hours waisted no change at all if anything going backswards.
Keep it simple, keeping working hard and have a great day
Jim
edit. Everything has it’s place … but you must learn to walk before you can run
thongs and squats?? oh my, i give you girlie credit for wearing em. i only sport a thing if they are only going to be on for mere moments.
I’m going to be working on my upper back too, it and my general upper body area are behind. i might just have to steal a few of your new workouts.
I know you have a great deadlift but this is an awesome artical talking about taking your time doing things right and not rushing into advanced training programs. Mike is a super smart guy.

Yes, I read this article verry carefully. I need to reexamine my trap-bar DL form. He mentioned foot dorsiflexion which I’ve noticed quite abit when I use the trap bar. I’m gonna take some video for critique.
Mike is super smart; it’s actually one of his articles that gave me the swift kick in the butt to lift heavy, especially my DL. There was a point where just pulling 95lbs would take me days to recover. I’m glad I kept at it. I’m very, very jealous Molly & Co. get to go train with him.

That’s a mistake I won’t be repeating, Sindie.Thongs have their place and it’s definately not in the squat rack.

LOL. I do have a sit on my ass day…usually Sundays. But I’ve learned from past experience, if I have the will to get out and do something, I go do it. Maybe I should call it ‘active rest day’ or something.
Question to anyone who wants to answer feel free.
When I’m cutting, I lose strength like a MUTHA…! Right now I’m carb cycling. I haven’t even started counting/measuring all that good stuff, just eating 95% clean.
Any solutions/suggestions/ideas?
Upping fats?
I’m a big fan of high fat in general, so I’ll put in my vote for upping your fats…
and for getting an extra hour of sleep at night.
and limewater.
kthxbai.
sorry skye…cutting has eluded me thus far so i’m the last person to chime in, but i think more fats is always good in the case of carb starvin.
i’m sure the bear is right.
freakin lime water…
for energy? HOT-ROX
Yes raising protien and fats while cutting carbs will make things alot easier … And making sure when you carb up you lower your fat and protien.
Shelby sterns does a great job with that

Back in the day I MIGHT have emailed it to cbear but I can’t remember
Have a good one
Jim
oh boy… yeah, diet and me are always butting heads.
and energy is a hard one for me as well, i agree with the sleep increase, HIGHLY HIGHLY endorse naps if at all possible. sleep is so precious!
Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll try upping the fats. I’m not sure how much more fat I can eat. I go through 12oz of almonds every 3 days, same with the Pico de Gallo Guacamole from Trader Joe’s. I guess I’ll just have to start popping fish oil caps like TicTacs.
Bobbi, it’s strength that is worrying me. I’m not lethargic or any thing like that. It’s the seriously weak sauce lifts when cutting.
T and Sindie- every time I cut, I learn something new. The older I get, the more tricks I have to come up with.
Claire, green tea trumps limewater…
any day.
