Skinny Bastards & Misconceptions

“Drop your bodyfat percentage by gaining lean muscle mass”… there’s an idea that won’t get much consideration around here Prof X. Why? It actaully requires work and effort. Why do that when someone could just starve themselves to get that specific #, no matter how close to anorexia they get.

I don’t mean to sound like an asshole, because you and everyone else saying what you’re saying in this thread have helped me immensely just through reading your posts, but why the fuck do you guys think you are the only ones who work hard? Because you have the results? Do you honestly think nobody else wants a sick physique as much as you?

I bring the intensity to the gym, I plan out my eating pretty meticulously, I read every piece of information about different routines and am still trying to find what’s best for me. Sure there are a good amount of misguided little shits who want to post pictures of their 135 pound body holding a shoe because they already think they look awesome even though we clearly can tell they’re just unhealthy and disgusting, but I guarantee there are many more people in the same boat as me- who are working their asses off and just not seeing the same results as you, so stop associating that with not willing to put in the time and effort.

Very often, we don’t see the results we are looking for and it makes us crazy. I believe the 2 biggest factors are, we over train and we under eat.
Growth is in direct proportion with how many reps we do with a knife and fork, how much we rest and a very small part is what we do in the gym.Just like everything else we have to find the correct balance. Having said that, I know it’s not as easy as it sounds.

Should we brow beat everyone into one camp of thought or trust people to use their heads when reading the training info and learn like we all have by then applying the info in practice and seeing what works for them.

People don’t have to be in the same camp. To each his own regarding goals, but when you ask others for opinions regarding your goals and how you want to go about getting them some advice is clearly more valid then other. And some is utterly invalid.

You don’t put everyone wanting to add size on the same program. You have to take into account what they’re starting out with. Skinny guy’s wanting to add size have to realize that the same thing doesn’t apply to them as bigger guys wanting to add size.

It doesn’t matter how much the skinny guys want to follow the advice meant for larger people. In most cases it doesn’t apply as well to them and sometimes even not at all.

Too often these skinny guys lash out at other people when they are told what they need to hear instead of what they want to hear. If you are planning on doing something wrong, reassurance from somebody else won’t make it right.

It also baffles me when people come out yelling: “I only want to add a little size, I don’t want to be over 200lbs”.

Well… buddy… I don’t quite know how to say this but… I’ve got news for you.

Ready?

Wait for it…

Wait for it…

If you are 135lbs 15% fat, you won’t get to 170lbs at 8% without using the same principles people starting at the same weight wanting to grow more muscle than that have to use.

Quite a shock, isn’t it?

You can chose to stop the bulking at 199lbs and diet down from there, or you can advance into heavier territory.

I can’t quite grasp the logical fallacy that you should use a different approach to grow 10 or 20 lbs of muscle than to grow a 100lbs of muscle.

Eat more and lift heavier to gain muscle.

And regarding trusting people to understand what they are reading and applying the info… Well it works for some, but obviously not for all…

OK, I am an old skinny bastard.

I read things here to learn how to improve my body and heath. I am getting stronger than I have ever been in my life.

I do not have an objective to become massive and then perfect an ability to be hostile and rude to anyone that does not compare to my personal standards and objectives.

I think that the measure of ones merit would be offer whatever assistance one can to all. If you can’t constructive, you are part of the problem in everyone else’s eyes.

I actually believed this until now…

Fact: Bigger-than-average women like bigger-than-average men.

It’s no coincidence that most powerlifters are married to cows.

The young, hot, skinny and fit girls are the ones that like the slimmer look.

Which part of your asshole did you pull this out of?

I weigh 225, my wife weighs 110.
My previous girlfriend weighed 115.
The one before that weighed 100.

Fuck you’re a genius…

People who weigh over 200 don’t necessarily look fat. Does Tom Brady look fat?

Show us the study you pulled this “fact” from. I see very few big (not fat) guys walking around with hippo girlfriends.

I’m 200 myself, my wife is 90 lbs.

What the skinny bastards think they look like.

This guy is JAKT.

The funny thing is… I went thru that stage and that’s when i thought I would get the chicks… WRONG! They just thought I looked like a tool and I did. Its nice to be ripped, but women actually find that as vague and pretty self centered. I actually turned more women on by not looking like such a tool with just a few more pounds and looking more like I wasn’t trying. Just a tip. That happened at about 200lbs.

I respect your goals totally, never said otherwise. Even pointed that out earlier.

What I’m tired of is when I offer assistance and get kicked verbally upside the head by someone who doesn’t like that my advice doesn’t conform to his own ideas (which by the way are usually not working).

There are suspiciously many skinny guys who say they want to build muscle to get jacked, but jump on and embrace the notion that they have to cut before they bulk.

But that probably doesn’t concern you since at least you are honest about your goal being health and strength oriented instead of focused on hypertrophy.

Please read my posts over again and notice that I never condemn people who like other things than myself and have different views of what you should strive for.

I do however condemn people who strive for something, are doing the wrong things and upon being offered help unleash hell on anything not conforming to their ideas.

Yup… bigger women like bigger men…

Does that mean that bigger men like bigger women?

NO

It doesn’t in any way imply that. Big men like the small hot chicks all the same.

I also find it a bit rude that you infer zoophilia on powerlifters based on your own skewed views.

Besides all that, I don’t really see what your post has to do with helping skinny guys who desire to build muscle.

If in fact you are a bitter sufferer of inferiority complex and trying to feel better about yourself by posting derogatory comments, please seek appropriate help.

I was not knocking anyone in particular, I could not keep track of who said what and not knowing folks; just put off by so much disrespect. Thanks.

Every girl I’ve had a decent relationship with has had a small frame (considering that is what I like). You are completely clueless on this, aren’t you?

Humm… That’s funny, when a slimmer looking man walks up to me all I can think is… This guy needs a serious bulking cycle. If that’s a fact I guess I must be bigger-than-average. Thanks for pointing that out to me… I never knew.

[quote]Nominal Prospect wrote:

That’s good coming from someone who has never posted current pics.

I have 2 of them on this thread asshole… if you would bother to read it before posting, you might actually know what you’re talking about. As usual these troll stalkers don’t know how to read.

Post a pic of yourself sxio… even a fake one, I don’t care. Then you can bother posting again and have troll status removed from your name. Until then, you have been nothing but a troll. You just proved by following my posts around and not bothering to actually read the thread.

Can you say “busted”?

Holy shit its my stalking troll sxio and his wife.
