Missed the workout this morning. My lower back is just a little too stiff from the last two days workouts. I was going to do bench press today, but it will have to wait until tomorrow. It felt great to sleep in!!
We have to go to a “Family Event” at the kids school tonight. One of the events that my daughter really wants us to do is square dance contest. I told her I couldn’t because I didn’t have a pair of cowboy boots and wrangler jeans. I sure hope no one has a video camera…
Sorry about the lack of posts lately. They changed the computer policies at work and blogging is no longer allowed.
Given our very rural location at home, high speed internet is not really an option so we have delayed getting internet access. I am looking into our various options and will hopefully have this resolved soon.
The workouts are still going well. I’ve gotten a couple of rep PRs on the Wendler 5/3/1 program and the added recovery time has really helped with the aches and pains.
I will try to update the log as much as possible and will try to check in on everyone now and again.
How near is the nearest cell tower? We live in a rural area also, but there is a cell tower only about 1 mile away. We have a very reliable cellular modem that gets good speeds (160kB down, 50kB up).

I feel your pain on the company restriction mday.
Look into satellite based internet service. It will have a lag of about a second but should work fine unless you get in to internet gaming.
Hey tall one. Just in case you get a chance to get on the internet hope you’re still making progress. Expect you to have gained at least 10# of muscle next time you can post.

At the end of my first four weeks on the 5/3/1 program and I really have enjoyed it. I got rep PRs on all four lifts (military press, squat, bench, DL). My body feels great and my weight is holding at 242. I have a deload week coming up and then back for another four weeks. My main exercises in the next cycle will be seated DB shoulder press, SSB box squats, 3 board bench press, and narrow stance DL.
I am planning on competing again at the end of January and then again in April.
Thanks for checking back in, I plan to be back online by Christmas. I will try to get to everyone’s logs soon. I hope everyone is achieving their goals.

awesome ol’ Lanky One! what were your PR’s at the last competition?
Hey mday, another one has gone right on by. It was a good year for getting stronger. The next will hopfully take you off the skinny list and onto the lean & mean list.
I have enjoyed all your support and encouragement. I hope I will get the chance to return the favor in kind. With all the uncertainty now-a-days strength is the one thing we can count on.
Stay strong and may the best day of 2008 be your worst day in 2009. I wish you all the success you can handle. May your future reflect your strength and compassion. I wish you and all of yours nothing but the absolute best.
