That looked like a special kond of hell Julie. Which bands were those?

Was it the short bus hat that gave it away? Those aren’t bands, it’s an orange extension cord. I’ve seen people do them with blast straps. I don’t have any so I used the first thing my big blue eyes lit upon  I think if I used bands my face would be on the floor. I like them.

Unrelated to training but I have a deep desire for a Dysan vacuum and this just makes me want one even more.

I burst out laughing at this, really really loud and long.

Yep, 'dem vacuums sure be delightful multi-taskers…

extension cord? Hope it wasn’t plugged in!

You are very resourceful, lol.

I had my thinking cap on… get it

Now that was a fun video! Wasn’t sure where you were going with it initially. You really have such an awesome sense of humor.

Have loved the vids over the past few weeks even though I haven’t commented much. Your McGuyvering is always so impressive to me.

nice squats!

love the fall outs- I did some today-
but I used a TRX

I covet that beanie

HA! I do like my Dyson Vacuum. They are worth it.

Happy New Year, O!

New Year’s Eve training at the Y with our Club

DL
135-2x5 suit bottoms
225-3
275-1 add belt
305-1 add straps
335-4x1
All hook grip. 335 is my opener so it’s good to know I can pull it with a hg. That’s the most I’ve done so far.
225-5x1 no gear just playing around

Bench games with the boys
First game was boards. You pick a weight and the progression is 3 board, 2 board, 1 board, chest, 1, 2, 3, 3, 2, 1, chest, 1, 2, 3
I did it with 95 and it was super easy so I did it again with 110. I got harder

Second game was reps. The guys all repped out at 135. I went with 65 (1/2 body weight) and hit 39. At about 35 I had an ass cramp and did the last 4 reps with my left foot on the bench. They laughed at me.

Pull ups
5x5

Hanging leg raises
3x10

Suitcase DL
60-2x10/side

Reverse hyper
3x10 with 25lbs

Have a great new year

Solid pulling indeed! What a great way to spend NYE too.

Today, I rang in the new year with a Polar Bear swim in Port Dover with about 100 other people and a power lifting friend.

Two words…second is “that” and the first rhymes with truck. Is it just jumping in and getting out or did you actually swim somewhere?

james

Just, Wow. Two of my least favorite things -wet, and cold.

I notice BB is nowhere to be found? Smart man…

It was actually a mild plus 5 degrees air temperature but raining. I don’t know what the water was.

You were just supposed to get totally submerged. No actual swimming was required thank god. I was interviewed by a local newspaper after I got out and the woman kept met there talking when I was trying to get dried off and covered up.

Crazy lady, though I could probably be bribed to try it once, lol
