It doesn’t. HCG is LH mimic, it’s actually suppressive to endogenously produced gonadotropins

Did it work? Data I’ve seen from hcg diet appears to indicate it’s not effective.
I was thinking if men used a dose of HCG high enough to replace/boost endogenous T production + severe caloric deficit they’d quickly lose weight and maintain muscle mass.
Better than dieting down naturally.
I don’t think it did. At least not for most. It was just a fad. An expensive one at that.
Providers must have made a killing. It’s available for weight loss here if you know the right providers. Also REALLY expensive, like 150$/wk
If you google the HCG weight loss there are tons of articles.
hCG here is cheap as crisps. 5000iu pregnyl for about £20.
I’m stocking up on hMG for now.

It isn’t in my opinion. T and E2 are suppressive. Boatloads of hCG shouldn’t suppress anything in the absence of functioning Testis.
HCG if used in high enough dosages for a long enough time will tell body to stop producing LH. Body has enough of what it perceives to be LH, this enough endogenous T production through leydig cell stimuli to secrete T
Exogenous T = negative feedback loop because there’s enough T in system without anterior pituitary needing to do the work, so signals HPTA to shut down.
From my knowledge. HCG will eventually signal HTPA to stop producing LH as once again as the body thinks it has enough. Without endogenously produced LH there’s little endogenously produced testosterone.
In the absence of functioning testes, how? Are there LH receptors in the hypothalamus? I remember an extensive search and I could not find any evidence of direct suppression through LH or hCG.
It’s not the LH receptor per se. It’s the degree to which you stimulate endogenous T production. If you take enough HCG to meet or surpass natty T production you’d think the body would shut off LH production via negative feedback loop to hypothalamus as the body thinks it has enough T. Then again, I’m no pharmacist/doctor/scientist/expert
If HCG wasn’t suppressive why wouldn’t all guys take boatloads of HCG + serm to acquire vastly supra levels of T/E without acquiring gyno? More expensive… More side effects… But no shutdown, no need for trt long term
Read my post again:
hCG itself is not suppressive. The T and E2 are. That’s a big difference if we are talking about restart or PCT.
I don’t quite get this. HCG is supposed to be an LH analog meaning it mimcs LH. Its role is not to produce LH but exert LH’s effects. The only thing I can think of being suppressive is the E or T produced from HCG use.
But in my case, suppression isn’t an issue, I’m already suppressed while on TRT. My goal is to restart the testes by stimulating the leydig cells and eventually Sertoli cells via HMG.
Or am I totally wrong?

What happens when you get a negative feedback loop mediated by too much T/E? LH shuts down
LH is already shut down in someone on TRT. So LH is irrelevant.

I will soon be going for a sperm count.
I get married in 3 weeks so I’m looking to start my hMG now to get me hopefully producing sperm again if the hCG hasn’t already done so.
Fingers crossed.

I’m so happy for you brother. You’ve come such a LONG way in the last year.
Thank you my brother! And thank you for your support along the way! @studhammer
Hopefully we will be successful in conceiving this year. Have started on the hmg now.
Current protocol
50mg test cyp EOD
20mg EQ EOD
2500iu hCG EOD
75iu hMG EOD

Congrats man! I hope you get this all figured out. This is exactly why I waited until after having kids. I’m sure you’ll get it all figured out, you take great care of yourself and have always been knowledgeable and dedicated to this. I hope the youngsters read posts like these and think about hopping on before having kids and weighing the risks involved. Hopefully it goes quickly and smoothly man!
Thank you man. You did the right thing by waiting till you have had your kids, I wish I had done the same.
I’m hoping it all goes OK but there is always a slight fear it may not and if it doesn’t, I’ll have to live with that regret. I’ve only just started on the hMG so fingers crossed.

You’re in the early stages with plenty of hope and chance left man, you’ll get it figured out, I have no doubt! Plenty of other options to explore should the easiest routes not work first! I’ll be following along!
