This is a big fat juicy rep PR for sure. Told coach @wiseman83 earlier that I was thinking I might have 10. He says ā€œdo 11ā€ and that was it. This was so close to a max max set. Last rep wasn’t a grinder but Very dizzy after.

65 x 5 +. Got 9 strict reps and then 3 extra with some leg drive
9 is still my max but the 3 is extra are cream on top. Still feels like progress

Proper old school cheat curls. Great contraction at the top. Arms pumped full after these.

Strongman Saturday

Working with my 100KG sandbag today. This bag is a fker. It is only about 80% full (should be 114KG - 250lbs), so it is really floppy and slippery.

Trying to shoulder the sandbag today. Lots of try’s in 24 mins, with a whole load of failures. Got pretty close by the end of the workout.

I am not sure doing heavy sandbag work the day after Amrap deadlift is a great idea but then I never was that smart.

I noticed in the description of your YouTube video you described the sandbag as ā€œ100 KG (220 lbs) of floppy slippery misery.ā€
Ironically, that’s exactly how my wife describes me to her friends…

I was thinking of you yesterday (in a nice way of course). We have had a pretty busy week so dinner at home has been a little un organised and as a result some of the meals have been less that nutritionally perfect. 2 of my kids mentioned yesterday that they has a mouth ulcer.
My immediate go to response was ā€œwell that’s what happens when you don’t eat good foodā€.
Then thought QQ would be telling them, eat your veggies. :joy:

The biceps doms today after the sandbag struggles yesterday was real.

Spend the day with my son at a lawn bowls tournament. He only started playing a few weeks ago. He started playing at school and got a scholarship to play at our local club. He has only been playing a few weeks but the coach is really happy with him and has high hopes for him once he gets more time under his belt. He played three matches today against other kids who were older and more experienced. He lost 2 and won 1 and had a good time and made some friends.
