Out of random curiosity, is an axle clean harder than an ordering power clean with an olympic bar? I have no access to an axle, but am intrigued by it.
Yes much harder. The thicker bar is harder to grip and the axle does not have collars so the weights don’t spin like a bar. Makes that transition from the pull to the catch much harder.
Thanks for all the comments guys. Really looking forward to getting out there and competing again.
Just a general health update for those who were following along. I had a renal ultrasound this morning to check my kidneys. As expected my kidneys are great. Official results will go to the doctor in a few days but the lady doing to scans said that everything looked really good, no concerns at all. I kinda already knew that this would be the outcome but there is something satisfying about having someone look inside your body and tell you that everything is good.
