What’s going on with the elbow, mate? Haven’t been following along for a bit (sorry about that). Anyway, I can relate to elbow shit, as you know, but have been managing it well enough lately.
Also……Schwwwwiiiiing!
Just tennis elbow (it has a long fancy name I can’t spell). Swollen tendon probably from overuse. Having to modify the training a little for a few weeks and then should be good.
Drove up to NSW with the family for a week of beach days, eating and drinking. It was a long (11 hour) drive which has totally wrecked my hips and knees. Will some all week stretching them only
To have to drive back again. Not doing any training up here. Although had a good quarter mile walk from the car to the beach today carrying the fully loaded esky. Sand bag training made the walk much easier and arms were nice and pumped by the time I hit the beach.
I will infer from context that this is a cooler. Hmm. Short for Eskimo? Is it packed with Sarnies?
Enjoy the beach Simo! No, I’m not jealous at all…
Happy New Year, you big sexy beast. Here’s hoping for fewer burpees in 2023!
Yep there was sangers in there and stubbies
Right back at ya mate.
Hard to beat that beautiful south coast coastline
Straya!
It really is grouse mate
You just had to get those big meaty quads in that last picture.
Looks like a nice relaxing time dude
Have a great vacation, mate!
On the plus side this week I have done no training at all. Just spent quality time with the family and enjoyed a break. It does feel a little odd not to be training but mentally I am ok with it. It fits into the overall training cycle and is giving my body some much needed recovery time.
I did do lots of hill walking at the waterpark the other day and 2 hours of kayaking with the family yesterday but it was a very leisurely pace so can’t really call that training.
On a negative side, my forearm elbow is still sore when I do certain movements and I am not sure resting really helps it at all. Also my hips and glutes are all sorts of jacked up from all the driving. Squatting when I get back is going to be interesting.
Haven’t had much time to catch up on everyone’s logs but i am sore you are working hard, especially those doing the transformation. I will have to catch up with you all next week.
Been talking a bit with @wiseman83 about goals for this year.
Figured here was a good place to put them, both the keep a record and also to borrow motivation from all of you (thanks Dan John for that little gem).
I shall happily steel this idea from you also, Rob.
Love those. I know you’ll get after them full force mate!
Picked up these old slam balls from a mate today. They are old slam balls that have small splits but all I need them for is the stuff inside. I bought a Cerberus inner bag for my split sandbag. Wifey is going to stitch up the old bag and now I have 60+ KG of free filing. This will give me a lighter bag for more conditioning options
