Look at you slowly coming around to the dark side
. Good job!
Thanks mate. I need to do a lot more of this to run with the big dogs like you ![]()
Eh, a lot of it comes down to technique, stability and practise. So I’d tell you to be patient, on the hand I don’t find that push presses translate to powerlifting much, so you’re probably not gonna spend much time with them.
Yer I’ll only do them in a deload week just for fun. Maybe if I decide to try Strongman one day, ill have to make them more of a priority. Until then I’ll keep having fun.
Join the dark side. It’s great fun.
Must be at, or getting close to body weight?
I was 87kg this morning so 85 x 3 is pretty close

That’s the deload week done. Back to another strength block next week to squeeze out some more gainz.!
Amazing discipline. I can’t see myself ever loading a bar with 137.5 for deadlifts when I can just slap 140 on there.
I just do what the coach tells me mate.
I don’t even think about it. It’s already rounded up when I see 7.5 on the end of something.
That’s good work for a regular week, not to mention a deload week. Sheesh. Pretty manly on the Overheads, even if it included a little bit of a wiggle.
Wow I am glad the deload week is over and I have two days off. Pretty good doms through my traps, lats and lower back, and my neck is a little stiff. Feeling middle aged today !!
Nice deload sessions Simo, amazing how much work you get done in a deload session.
Awesome OHP, you’re doing really well. I love to see you get stronger and stronger as the weeks and months pass.
Thanks @mortdk it’s funny how our training seems to ebb and flow like the tide. Sometimes it feels like we are swimming against the tide and the hard work isn’t paying off, it really what we are doing is building capacity for when the tide changes and we surf forward. Right now I am in a good spot and every session I feel stronger. I know this won’t last forever so I am really trying to get the max out of it right now.
Wife has been making a batch of chicken gyoza. Looks like I will be continuing the bulk this evening !!
Dip in protein powder soy sauce blend sludge for extra gains
