Well the doms crept up on me slowly through the day and now it’s pretty bad!! Got on the foam roller tonight and rolled out my legs and glutes. They are going to be sore as tomorrow. I’ve had a cough for nearly 5 week since I came back from holiday. I felt like it was getting better until today. I now feel like I’m coming down with a cold. Just hoping I can fight it off until after deadlifts on Thursday !!
Alright I am definitely sick, didn’t sleep real well last night. Sore throat and chesty this morning. Going to try and stay warm, fed and hydrated today and hopefully my body will fight it off or at least keep it at bay for one more day.
Get back under the warm quilt, sleep it away Simo.

Woke feeling about the same as yesterday. Body is definitely fighting a cold but its not any worse so it looks like the Jedi mind trick is working.
Legs feel really good today and only minor soreness in the glutes. Spent a fair bit of time yesterday evening on the roller and that seems to have helped.
Looking forward to deadlifts tonight and then a deload next week and my first week in the new gym.
Be careful with that man flu mate, it’s real and it sucks.

These moved ok but felt it in the lower back and breathing hard by the end. Kept the rests between 2 - 3 mins.
Bench

SS with Band pull aparts - Lots
Moved these fast and had short rests. Felt pretty good, great pump.
Dumbell Curls

Great little arm pump from these.
Really happy with tonight’s session. Deadlift was hard but I pushed through and got the extra rep for a PR. Squats moved real nice and bench was smooth as. Happy days. Next week is a deload and I start at the new gym. Looking forward to it.

Feeling surprisingly good today. Didn’t get the best sleep and felt a little dehydrated this morning but body feel good. I don’t know if it is the fact that I had a holiday and recovered or because i’m eating more than just chicken and broccoli but the this training block felt really good throughout. Last night was one of those rare sessions where I actually felt strong and looked pretty jacked afterwards. Not sure whats causing it but hoping this continues for as long as possible.

Do you find that knowing you’re filming your top sets pushes you to really gut out the last reps?
140kg for 11 is a solid effort mate! Top stuff!
Not always, I’ve filmed plenty of sets where is miss a PR or fail completely. I find having a target in my head usually helps more than the camera.

Went out for the night with the misses to a dress up disco night. Drank a few beers and cut some moves on the dance floor. Lower back was pumped as fk from dancing but had a great night. Little dusty and tired this morning but great night out. The night ended with my wife and I and another couple who are good friends of ours getting an Uber home. I get in the front whilst my mate and the two girls get in the back. It was a small car and not a lot of room in the back so the wife asks the neighbor ‘can you give me another 6 inches’. The Uber driver nearly drove off the road he was laughing so hard !!
