Silva vs Griffin: Was it Rigged?

Then you have a guy that is one of the biggest sluggers in the UFC and he RUNS out of the ring. That’s pretty dramatic so I have to wonder.
ROFLMFAO

That is just a little too close to reality.

Bullet time?

I would say NO.

I think that Forrest went in there VERY unsure about himself. His lack of confidence really showed, he wasn’t acting like his usual self (which ironically, is silly, loud, etc.), but instead looked overly serious. Somewhere down the line, he must have thought to himself that he wasn’t going to win way deep down, and it sort of showed.

That is a recipe for disaster against A. Silva.

I think Forrest realized this…and was very upset with himself afterwards. People keep ragging on him for running to dressing room, but they forget that this is his livelihood…lots of emotion involved.

Right, it would be like getting totally owned at work and then worrying about whether or not you will get fired over it and if you’ll even be able to work in the industry again… It’s enough to make anyone want to run away and hide.

It’s almost as though the loss was the proverbial “nail into the coffin” of his fight career. He was already down after losing the title immediately (because let’s be honest, Rashad ran over him) and after the fight with Silva, he seems down AND out.

Come on Forrest, stick with it! I really like him as a fighter, he wears his emotion on the outside (which I think helps and hurts him somewhat) but what does he do now?

The same reasons douchebags sign their names at the end of their posts.

He’s a second echelon LHW… Who has lost to 2 champions. How is losing to Silva a nail in his coffin? It should be a boon since he didn’t get KTFO’d in the opening seconds like Irvin. I think he deserves some credit for just walking into the ring, because we all know the skill differential was like a black belt kicking a blue belt’s ass.

I think because repeated disappointment is a rough thing in the UFC. Hell, how many fighters have been on a roll, lost the big fight once, then lost once more, and become ostracized. We all know how ruthless Dana White can be. We’ve seen how a fighter will be champion, lose a few big fights, then is on the verge of getting cut.

Oh and here’s a thought Anderson Silva v Fedor in a catch weight match who wins?
Aw we can only dream:D. I’d put my money on Fedor though. Yet I’m not saying Fedor would walk through him, it just would be the challenge Fedor needs. It would be something reminiscent of when Fedor fought Crocop, just two fighting behemoths exchanging moves like world class chess players.

I agree with most in that Griffin was not himself, seemed his nerves got the best of him. Also undeniably Silva is just on another level. Put those two together and you got a real bad situation.

There is no way in holy hell that Dana White would cut Forrest. Ever. It’d be such terrible business.

I watched the video. Either Silva is the second coming or Griffin took a dive.

Griffin is a tough SOB. Silva made him look like a child. Silva’s punches don’t even look that hard.

Dammit,Wol. You need a lesson, boy…lol. Accuracy and speed…I repeat, accuracy and speed. Plus,Forrest was moving with all of his weight forward.

You got to get a grasp of understanding the fight game and some of the physics involved before saying his punches “don’t look that hard.”

People said the same crap about his punch to James Irvin…that shattered his cheekbone. I don’t understand why people think Silva isn’t capable of power. His build makes his punches deceiving to the dude watching his fights on a TV screen.

Good grief.
I watched Silva deliver devastating knockouts (including a back elbow!), most of them “did’nt look hard “. I know Chris Leben, so i asked him last year(couple years after they fought, silva KO’d him in round one) about silva’s power, and he said that while he made a mistake in that fight, qoute” dude turned my lights out, and I’m not an easy guy to knock out” unquote. No shit. Anderson Silva is a world class striker, and he is that good

Of course not, his “face” is too important to the org, I was simply pointing out how Dana can put someone in line for a shot, they lose a few big ones, then your a nobody over night.

Thales Leites. Fights A. Silva, loses, now gets stuck on under cards. Bonnar too.

Yeah. The sherdog crowd thought that the guy that kissed bj was a tranny initially, but it was apparantly some rock singer that does rap as well. Here’s a youtube link:

And btw, I really dont think that some major celebrity would do that kind of thing without being paid some $$$$$$ first.

^^^^^^^^^^

Strangley Mickey Avalon- the kisser and BJ Penn know each other.

it was a big buzz on all the HardKore MMA interwebs.
I guess that is more wwe then Brock.
