I would imagine the parent gets arrested for child abuse.

I spent about 10 minutes typing up a longwinded paragraph. Deleted all of it and walked away from the computer for a few minutes.
Frankly, I got disgusted at the direction civilization is heading, and it has nothing to do with homosexuality.
The fear some of you have that somehow other forms of marriage will be legal is an UNFOUNDED fear, verging on paranoia - especially child marriage.
Do you realize that for children to legally marry the definition of what a child is, as well as the entire set of laws protecting children would have to reverse?
Child labor, sexual consent, military service, the drinking age, trust funds, and a whole slew of others that have been initiated in the pursuit of protecting children would have to change or disappear en mass for an issue where consent dictates an institution like marriage.
You’re talking about the degradation of a culture, and I don’t see how allowing gays to marry has any relevance to that ? especially because gays have been a part of society since the beginning, and it’s a consensual adult issue that doesn’t infringe on our rights, or create a detriment to society. I would think some of you crybabies who want government out of your business would applaud this law, because it doesn’t infringe on YOUR rights at all; in fact it allows that consenting ADULTS that have been mistreated, judged, and prohibited from simple freedoms you enjoy to now enjoy them.
Is YOUR lifestyle going to change, YOUR marriage in jeopardy, and YOUR ability to make a living in danger now that gays can marry?
NOPE.
Let’s cal it what it is. It’s your prejudice disguised behind trumped up issues that are based on needless fear.
Well said, Clunk.
Bravo Clunk ! …love the shades !!
Well…
I reckon Gays have the right to be as miserable as the rest of us.
( Just don’t let my wife see this post; Lordy, I would never hear the end of it. )

Push,
Your post seems to be filled with a bunch of “You’ll see” hysterical bullshit like some mountain man Nostradamus, when the reality is you’re just pulling shit out of your ass based on your own dislikes and close minded beliefs. You think people are backing same sex marriage or against gay bashing because it’s “what all the cool kids are doing” when it is actually what the “decent people are doing”. Keep blowing your “personal liberties, I’ll bring an extra mount to the Alamo” bullshit trumpet and just admit you’re for YOUR personal liberties, just not so much for the folks you disagree with.
Push,
It seems unfair to demand an intellectual retort to what is clearly an emotionally driven attack. You provide no data, you provide no hard facts, just your “gut feelings” as to where things are going. Prove your points with some science or don’t expect anything else in return.

Oh, I’ll be sure and drive cross country to burn your trailer house down.
*10 internet points if you remember where that came from.
I looked it up. That was amusing.
Anyways, I’m quite serious when I say that I’m willing to bet my life. And I’m genuinely curious what you’re willing to bet in return.

Tell me, ye who tells secrets to small cayuses, which of these two opposing parties are “the decent people?”
Tell me how liberty has been expanded. Do it without all the emotion for once.
To be honest, it seems like the state was in the wrong here. I’m confused as to how the particulars were decided because according to the article the labor commissioner finalized the ruling and placed the gagging order so it seems this didn’t actually happen in court. I’m sure the couple issued a complaint about the discrimination but I have no reason to believe they specifically asked for 135 grand (as would be the case if they actually filed a lawsuit seeking emotional damages). It just seems to be a matter of the state making an example of someone really
Edit: I don’t think it’s decent of the gay couple to accept the 135k and I don’t think it was decent of the bakers to refuse the service.
If I were the gay couple, I’d offer the baker $135,000 to bake me a wedding cake.
Let’s see just how much his values are worth.

Push,
I read the article, now explain to me what this has to do with gay marriage again? Or gay bashing? Near as I can tell this is an article about discrimination. I would hazard a guess that 135k for refusing to make a cake for a gay wedding is exceptionally harsh, but the two matters are unrelated.
