Shredded by 4th of July?

well T-Nation brothers and sisters, it’s been a surprisingly easy week on this program. Today was the carb up, and now I’ve cut water. It’s going to be a fun night. I’ve lost a considerable amount of water weight, down from 192 to 188 in 5 days. Everyday I’ve been looking leaner and leaner. Thanks to mighty Stu and Thibs I’ll hopefully look like the baddest s.o.b. on the lake. I’ll take some pics tomorrow morning. Wish me luck

I’ve been following this thread, I look forward to seeing your progress.
Great job.

Excellent, Excellent… all transpires according to my evil plan… Muah-Ha-Ha-Ha-Haaaa!!! (sinister laughter)

writing this after a massive 3 hour binge of eating large amounts of 4th of july wondrous foods! I am so overstuffed I can’t move…BUT I can still see my abs!!! But with a huge stomach.

Well, first things first, I looked ripped. The best I’ve ever looked. My abs were popping, especially my seratus and my upper back and delts. I took my shirt off and everyone just stared. I was at the front of the boat, had my back turned to everyone, and I could tell people were just staring at me.

I know it’s cocky, sorry, but it feels great. We went swimming, and treading water in a 25 ft lake is damn hard exercise, so I was pumped as hell when I got out of the boat! and when I got out, I could just feel my muscles tensing and huge…it was a great thing.

So obviously thank you to Mighty Stu, because he answered every damn question I freaken had. You are truly the nicest damn guy on this forum and thanks for all your help.

So all of you who are wondering if this get shredded diet works…the answer is yes, but only if you are lean to begin with. But, I know I would do only 2 things differently;

3 gallons of water was not enough, my body was not really a fountain and I didn’t have to pee more than normal. Just normally, I average 2 to 2.5 gallons daily even before I started this, plus all the veggies I eat. So by drinking 3 gallons for 5 days didn’t really put me in extreme flushing. Next time I’ll need to do 4 to 4.5.

secondally, I needed more carbs on the carb up. I ate between 50-75 each meal, like Stu had recommended, but my muscles didn’t really soak it up like I thought they might. But this could be due to the fact that I needed to have taken in more water throughout the week.

Well all I can say is it was awesome. It got me down to a level I’ve never been at. And now it’s time to put on some muscle!!!

You drink 8-10 litres a day? Uhh… why?

besides the fact that I train and I need a lot of water, I’m a singer, and it’s very humid where I am. I have rehearsals almost everyday for 3 hours, and I have to stay hydrated constantly especially when it’s hot.

Well, did you hit it or not?

Thanks bro. I figure if everyone tried to be constructive with their ‘advice’, we’d all be further along. Hell, not only have I learned tons from other people on here (even though whose advice I chose not to follow), but I currently pick the brains (via emails) of other competitors who I beat in my show this past May. I figure the more you know about different approaches, the more well thought out your actual decisions will be. That being said, you were overall pleased with your results, but you already see changes you could have made. That’s a great place to be at! Similarly, I obviously kicked ass at my show, but was already considering things I could have altered for a better outcome before the evening show. That’s what this is all about (well, that and getting a little tail when you can -lol).

Really? I didnt realise that would be an issue (not humidity and training, but singing). Thtats a shit load of water! A full time job!

I am looking forward to seeing your results too dratner, i may well just try it myself in lieu of competing.
