Showtime's Dexter

The problem is that they’re developping him into a normal guy. What made his character so good was how different he was from the rest of us. He was interesting because his motivations were so alien from the rest (I hope) of us.

I’m worried that if they keep it up pretty soon the show is going to be nothing more than a glorified CSI.

As someone who has read all 3 books, I’m very disapointed with the personality changes they’ve made to Dexter. I knew they were moving away from the plot in the books, but I had hoped they’d stay true to his nature.

I disagree.

I think he is even creepier now that he is not biologically compelled to kill but chooses to do so anyway. Killing his copycat was by choice, not by compulsion. It also appears he is on his way to abandoning the ‘Code of Harry’ in order to develop his own ‘Code of Dexter’. Those are HUGE changes for him.

I think we’re going to see Dexter become even more motivated to kill as he grows into the ‘Dark Defender’ persona.

Does anybody else think Lundy will catch on that someone deleted video footage from the docks? Personally I hope he gets his wires crossed and goes after Misuka since he doesn’t even like him to begin with. That would be funny.

Yeah, I was just thinking that someone might figure out that the files were deleted. I was thinking, after they showed him deleting them, that he didn’t follow up properly by then going into the Recycle Bin on the computer and also deleting them from there, which would’ve been the wise course of action, so they might still be retrievable.

I doubt that the file delete will go anywhere. Having to watch all that damn footage must be an arduous, painful task and nobody, not even Doakes, suspects that the Bay Harbor Butcher is a Miami PD employee (though that suspicion among the department would be a damn good plot twist!) I figure his stunt w/ the computer will work out, and something much bigger will lead to a climax for the series. Champing at the bit for next Sunday, as usual.

Hopefully THIS time she flashes a little vag . . . !

I just re-watched the last one (relax while eatin’ dinner.) The trailer for what is to come this season…holy shit, I almost wish I hadn’t seen it, just because the shockers they showed would be so sweet as surprises. Showtime spoils us, no doubt.

Great episode tonight.

As for the Lila’s Vag-Watch . . . SO close, and yet so far!

Dexter had better enjoy the poon-tang while he can, because you know he’s gonna have to kill that crazy bitch before the end of the season.

Eh, I wouldn’t kill her off if I were him. I’d keep her around just for the wonderfully raucous sex, even if she is a pyro.

On a related note, since they’re not biologically related at all, Dexter should find a way to nail Deb. She seems naive enough to be . . . convince-able.

I don’t think her being a pyro will be a problem. I think she’s eventually going to threaten to hurt Rita and the kids, and Dexter is going to discover that she intentionally killed her ex-boyfriend in the housefire.

I am 100% positive we’ll see her saran-wrapped to a table before this season is over … and not in a sexually-oriented way. Dexter will confess the nature of his ‘addiction’ to her right before he takes a sample of her blood for his collection.

I’m just dreading the inevitable ‘old man butt’ scene we are going to get when Deb consummates her quasi-incestuous relationship with her surrogate father figure Agent Lundy.

Eww! Oh no – ya’ think . . . ? :frowning:

I wouldn’t mind seeing young Deb butt, though.

This fucking suspense is going to give me a heart attack. Anyone have a time machine? Fuck waiting.

Wow, last night’s episode must be the beginning of the stretch run of this season, hopefully ending in a bloodbath. Yeah, Dexter should’ve just tagged Lila once and been done with her. She isn’t crazy, she’s completely batshit! Calling that guy who killed his mom just so Dexter would snuggle with her. Yikes!

As for Deb and Lundy…ewwwwwwww. Lundy is slick though, it looks like he’s figured out Dexter. It should be exciting to see how it plays out.

I’ve said it before (and it’s been true), but I’m saying it again: Now it looks like things are going to get reeeeally interesting! Great show! The previews for next week (which for some reason they don’t show right after the episode – they showed them during the commercials after Brotherhood, I think) make it look like Dexter is really in deep shit.

On a different note, Lundy most know that this is the single luckiest day of his life to date. He’s an old 50/60-something dude and he’s got this hot, young, SUPER-HORNY little thing in his place, raring to go?! Damn!

I’m putting my money on Doakes getting framed as the killer, and either “going on the run” aka dissappearing due to being in little bags on the bottom of the ocean, or going down in a hail of gunfire.

Lila is almost certainly going to have a visit with Dexter’s dark passenger, and I look forward to it greatly. Watching Dexter being lead around by his dick was very dissapointing, and i’m glad it’s come to an end.

Yeah, I think this is all leading up to Doakes eventually (sooner or later) getting the ole’ table treatment by Dexter.

As for Lila, I’m not sure – I can see why she’s deserving of it, as she was pretty obviously evil/devious at heart from early on, and Dexter finally realizes that, but I have a feeling he might just try to get away from her without killing her. Plus, especially with all the heat that’s on him now, killing her might be too risky for him (too obvious).

Eh, I’m still on the fence with Deb being attractive. Some scenes she looks great, but in others, not so much. I must say the super-horniness defintely stacks the odds in her favor.

I just hope we don’t see any old-man ass when they start fucking.

“Black,
then,
white are,
all I see,
in my infancy,
red and yellow then came to be,
reaching out to me,
lets me see”

I couldn’t resist.

Yeah, this is becoming very interesting. Lila is really messing things up and Doakes is sniffing around making things worse. They will probably end up on a table in on the inside of a plastic bag.

I made a comment that if Doakes finds anything, it cannot be admissible in court.
