Honestly I just wanna know the truth about the drugs in the water.
The only thing that bugs me is the sudden amazing detective work by La Guerta.
Thoughts on the last episode? The season in general?
Here are mine:
Maybe it’s just the fact that this is the first season that I’m watching this stuff on a week by week basis instead of an episode a day, but I felt that some of the plot-lines were there just to take over when the ones were not developed yet. For example, the whole thing with the Ukrainians were basically pointless, other than to point out the fact that even badass british sounding assassins can have messed up love relationships which normalizes the love Deb has for Dex, and Dex has for Hannah.
And remember Louis? lol. And the thing that pissed me off a little was the way the Ukrainian plot-line ended. Here you have a dude who manipulated Quinn for years on end, and all it took was a bullet IN HIS OWN CLUB, to end it. Quinn could have shot him right from the start.
As far as Hannah/Yvonne goes, she was pretty badass. I mean based on the last episode she is pretty messed up, but who isn’t. I think they played that plot-line pretty well, the only thing I would have liked to see is to put her content from the last episode of this season into the first episode of the next. The main reason is that her story ended so well with the last line “you should have killed me”. I mean nothing really happened with her that couldn’t have been explained in the next season.
Overall you could basically take the first and last episode and take a few scenes from the middle and you would pretty much get the gist of the season.
As far as predictions go, I honestly have no idea other than I think that both Deb and Dex will survive the season. They add and drop story-lines pretty quickly, so there’s really no telling where they’ll end up by the end. Look at last season; the whole “Dex I love you bro” was pretty prominent, but was pretty much unused, because it was overshadowed by the “Dex you’re a killer bro” plot-line.
Well that ends my wall of text.
Man that epi last night melted my brain and just about made my heart explode.
Several intense shocks, one after the other.
Poor Deb… She’s gotta be a total psycho now. Is it cool if we do spoilers at this point?
Great ending to the season.
I like the fact that Hannah sort of walked off into the sunset and disappeared. Killing her would have been a mistake.
Poor Deb is correct. She will be messed up for a long time.
Something about that final scene in the shipping container broke my heart. Poor Deb.
Just finished the whole series over about 3 weeks. haha
I really liked Hannah, it sucks, but from a writing standpoint it would become dull if they just lived happily ever after through the next season. Think about if they had kept Rita around. Although I believe they will use Hannah somehow in the next season.
I love how they have escalated the badassness of Dexter over the seasons. I hope they keep creating formidable opponents for him, such as the assassins. I really want to see more of his martial arts.
