Showtime's Dexter

Any new thoughts on the episodes?

Here’s how I think the rest of the season goes (or at least I hope):

Hannah and Dexter try to stalk each other for each others next kill. They end up in some kind of confrontation, similar to Mr. and Mrs. Smith, where Dexter eventually gains the advantage but chooses not to kill her. They end up hooking up and killing people together. The Mob boss (through someone else) captures both Debrah and Hannah and forces Dexter to choose one. They’ll try to tie in Quinn’s storyline in there somewhere too, as well as La Guerta’s.

Just a shot in the dark. Any other ideas?

I thought that it was pretty obvious from the start that it was his son.[/quote]

kinda second guessing it now with the last episode. doesn’t really matter though. season’s getting better

Well, that was an ending I didn’t expect.

Props to Yvonne for the nice side boob exposure.

Can’t blame him.

So it looks like I got the first part right.

I thought it was rather clear how it would end

Now with the writer involved. It seems that the season is starting to get too many stories going and its starting to get a little complicated.

I guess it wasn’t that obvious after all…

I wasn’t really expecting that either.

What is funny is that I was discussing this show with a friend of mine at work and we were talking about the connection between Isaak and Victor. Brothers, etc. I joking commented that they are lovers, lol.

I didn’t think I be right.

Isaak/Ray Stevenson was from the getgo as queer as Elton John’s hair stylist.

@finale thoughts:
Deb has poisoned herself, the grumpy cardio-bitch! (“I’ll do whatever it takes”)
Dex will find out, maybe he’ll work on busting Hannah out in season 8?

No way Deb AND Laguerta will stay alive!

Will the fireguy come back in season 8?

Glad they do something bigger with Quinn, plotwise.
He’ll go down in dirt and blood, pretty sure it will be ugly.

[potential SPOILER notice, in case that needs to be said]

^^^ Exactly what I was thinking, about Deb drugging herself. Especially because in the same episode she clearly demonstrated how skilled she was at faking evidence.

Incidentally, WTF was Dexter thinking (or WTF were the writers thinking) when Dex turned Hannah in? She, more than any other living person other than Deb, could out him. Wouldn’t making her disappear be a lot more in line with how Dexter has developed as a character?

It is bit strange.

Maybe Dex is 100% sure that she’d have no evidence and he wants her behind bars, because otherwise, his ‘dark p.’ would claim her eventually.

I think Hannah will blackmail Deb and for her to get her out of jail, but in return I think Deb will poison Hannah and kill her.

LaGuerta has to die or something will happen that force her to change her mind about Dexter.

I do have a strange feeling that this season will end with a cliffhanger and continues next season. I hope that doesn’t happen.

i think the season will end with the same scene that was the teaser for this week’s episode, Dexter walking in handcuffed

I hope not. I will be disappointed if that happens.

This.

I really think Dexter has ran its course and wrapping things up nicely (no pun) this season would be a good way to end this show. LaGuerta HAS TO go, though - her character was completely useless for all 6 and a half seasons, and all of a sudden she becomes the second coming of Sherlock Holmes? Those writers can suck my penis.

There is going to be another season of Dexter. In theory, exactly one more season (12 more episodes). From what I understand, this whole arc from Deb discovering Dex through this current serious chance at Dex being caught (and how he reacts to it) is the final arc.

I’m guessing that it means there’s going to be a serious cliffhanger ending this Sunday.

Better be a good cliffhanger with at least some issues resolved.

I believe the last season( next season ) will be the trial against Dexter or he will be on the run, either way he`s secret is exposed. I think that will be the logical way of wrapping it up IMO.

Dexter is my favorite television program. Anyway for some reason I really just don’t think that Dex will get busted.

I know what they showed in the preview. But also in the preview they showed Doakes delivering his iconic line, and we all know Doakes is taking a dirt nap. So what I think is that the whole Dexter arrested thing is a red herring of some kind. Like maybe that whole thing was just Dexter imagining what it would be like if he did get caught.

Orrr maybe that’s just wishful thinking on my part. I don’t know. Won’t next season blow ass if the main character is in prison the whole time?

On the other hand, after what she found in that shipping container, LaGuerta really does have enough circumstantial evidence to arrest him. I don’t see any way out for him, really. If LaGuerta up and vanishes I am sure that Deb will turn him in. Man. Can’t wait till Sunday.

And here’s another thing: do you dudes really think that Deb drugged herself and then crashed her car? Really?? It just doesn’t seem like something she would do. She may have covered up for Dexter a few times, but she doesn’t WANT to. I think she’d like to play it straight as much as possible. And then there’s Hannah McKay who knows that she’s dating a serial killer. She’s not dumb. Wouldn’t she realize that she would be tempting fate if she went after someone that Dexter loves? I can’t even figure this shit out lol
