I’m always so happy when there are new posts in this thread. 
My Derpy Cat likes to make it jiggle. Then once it jiggles he smacks it. Then swats at the droplets that splash from the smack. Then repeat with escalating enthusiasm.
He also taps on the lid of the food container to tell me to refill the bowls. He doesn’t want any. He just doesnt like when the bowls are empty.

My girl liked to stick her paw in to make ripples then drink the water once it was moving.

Exactly. He takes care of all Derpy Cat business:
Protecting blankets, pillow patrol, etc.
And I keep food bowls, water bowls, catnip stashes ready for any emergency involving food, water, or cat nip.

We’re having a similar problem with Louie and the firewood for the wood stove. I plopped down on the couch the other day and felt something un-couch-like under me - a big piece of wood. Then discovered this on my blanket this morning:
Here is the criminal and the wood stove in question.

Oh, and the AI attached to my photos asked if I’d like to know more about black mouthed curs. And ding ding ding, I think we have a breed.

He’s just helping/hinting. Like “how bout some of that cozy couch in front of a fire time?”.
When you zoom in, that puppers looks less than thrilled to be photographed at the moment. Looks very similar to my RBF in the morning.
