My boys are always catching and releasing something. Today we set up a cage for a turtle they just caught. Fed him some shrimp and he ate it up like it was his first steak dinner. I’ll probably have to make them let him go in a bit. But it was a fun project for today.

My old man Ash is starting to have heart failure. He was a rescue after Hurricane Harvey. He’s been put on heart meds and diuretics this week. He was swelling up. He’s happy and still pretty spry for 15 or 16.

That sucks. I feel for you and him. I had two Weimaraner’s that were two years apart and both of them hard heart conditions at 12. Had to put them down. So difficult. They can’t tell you how they feel.

How are things going, @doogie? My heart is with you - three weeks ago we set an appointment with the vet to talk about what we could expect with Buttons as her liver failed, because we know she has masses on both her liver and pancreas, and she had symptoms. However, it turned out she had a UTI, and is now back to her goofy normal after a course of antibiotics.

I hope Ash is not feeling too badly.

Good to hear buttons is doing well. Ash is doing amazingly well. The diuretics have done wonders. He’s back to his slim little self and feeling good. On the downside, we’ve had to buy a steam cleaner as he now has begun to pee on the living room rug from time to time.

When the furosemide kicks in, Its Time To GO!

That stuff don’t wait on nobody!

I bet none of the cats posted here can even read at Kipper’s level.

Just kidding, cat people!
