You tell me what you consider high e2. We can take a poll, what does everyone consider high e2?
I consider over 90 to be high. My dr considers the upper range (28) to be high.

It’s individual hence my stance in this debate, because for the longest I tried to convince myself my E2 is not high enough to be a problem. Until I said the hell with everyone else and let me do me and now I know it was always a common denominator for me.
So yeah it’s individual. For me even high 30s is no good. After incorporating AI have felt the best I have felt and actually have amazing blood work lol, all contradicting anything with AI giving liver or cholesterol problems. See in my opinion making statements like “a high E2 level is above X amount” is dangerous and can lead you to derailing someone’s journey.
I agree. And disagree with the one size fits all.
You will have a better experience here if you tone it down a little. Yes, people get on my nerves with their “what works for me will work for you attitude”, but don’t be so harsh. Kill them with kindness, or cleverness.
Ok fair enough on that, maybe I was just feeling the guys pain through my experience. My apologies.
In this case OP is taking a very reasonable amount of T, and asking about a very reasonable amount of AI. My instinct is he doesn’t fit into the category of the guys in your analogy, but I know exactly what your referring to.
To answer everyone’s questions I’ve been on TRT for 2 years now and have done everything to avoid AI because of the horror stories ppl say and this is my first go around.
I have had highs and lows with TRT but cannot avoid high E2… I switched to EOD to avoid a high e2 and my e2 is actually higher than when I did 2x injections, I think I aromatise easier or something.
Currently my e2 is 49.2… which is pretty high and my libido is awful and I’m pretty irritable and tired… I started anastrozole a week ago doing .125mg twice a week. I’ve only taken 2 so far and I’ve already noticed a slight difference. My libido has improved and mood.
I’m going to stay on this for a few weeeks and potentially increase to .25 twice a week because my libido still isn’t 100%.
I think it’s totally fair to ask if I’ve tried everything before using AI and I feel I have. I’ve done many different regimens of TRT, from 100 mg each week up to 150 now down to 130. Multiple different frequencies and I just can’t avoid high e2
Thank you for providing numbers versus general vague info. My e2 got up to 96 when I switched to 3x week T injections. I found out later the frequent injections cause you to stay at a higher TT, so you should actually take less than you would with 1x week injections. My SHGB is low, leaving me with a lot of free T to aromatize. I listened to the know it alls and avoided AI for months with the frequent injections. I had zero libido and couldn’t even masturbate. After getting back on the AI, my libido came back.
Very similar to my story dude. What has worked for me is actually going up in dose and micro dosing an AI. Blood work is excellent and everything checks out. Like I said I also stopped listening to people and their numbers because I notice once my E2 starts approaching to 40 I just can’t do this. People talking about E2 in the 40s, 50s, 60s, and so on while I feel like I am going crawl out of my skin with a E2 of 38. Also reading blanket statements about some supposed “ratios” that have never been backed up by any scientific evidence what’s so ever, statements like “59 E2 is not high at all considering your TT”. Yet we see guys feeling better by lowering dose, hence lowering E2, or using an AI or in cases like mine actually upping the dose and using AI and feeling even better than that. Which completely shuts down any ratio talk.
As long as you micro dose and don’t crash E2, at least in my case the AI has not harmed me in any stereotypical way. Those are the 2 talking points we always hear about is the cholesterol and liver. Also mind you this is not just incorporating an AI but also bumping up my T dose as well to compensate for it.
I am also willing to bet money that, while some people will back track about this, you would have got the run around and been told no way is your E2 the problem if you came with your number right out of the gate.
Yea I’ve really tried to avoid AI. I know that you’re playing with fire based on what I’ve read here and I honestly think ppl have the best intentions in telling you to avoid it but I think some ppl just need it.
I’m thinking I might be one of them, I initially was at 150mg per week EOD and moved down to 130mg and my e2 has stayed essentially the same.
Thinking of keeping AI and moving back to 2x injections per week when I felt better.
What is your current regimen if you don’t mind me asking? How much T and AI per week and what is the frequency of both?
I stopped TRT beginning of Feb after 3 years. I was having issue and instead of taking more drugs, I just decided to stop. I’m on week 2 of Nolvadex.
I was injecting 200mg 1x week. Aromasin 2x week. HCG 500 iu 1x week.
I couldn’t handle the sides from anastrozole so switched to aromasin. Even 1/4 of a anastrozole pill caused me issues. Like frequent urge to pee. I also kept pulling muscles when lifting.
Strange. Did you try dropping the AI and taking the T down to 100-120mg/week or so?
I personally was never able to make HCG work long term. Did you try without?
I dropped down to 140 split in 3x with no AI and it was still high. That is with HCG, I respond really well to HCG. HCG alone will have me upper range.
I have gone on and off HCG several times over the years.
Is AI similar to Test in that it must be taken the same time every week or on a consistent regimen otherwise it throws things out of whack?
To a certain extent, but say some random dose once per week keeps at a range you can handle even if not “steady” it really shouldn’t matter. Try to aim twice a week to start.
Perfect post
I can’t be the only one irritated with this smug double standard attitude. My E2 on average was even lower than the OP’s I can just imagine if I was still a lost soul trying to get advice from these guys before I took the plunge and said the hell with it once I realized these forums don’t represent the majority out in the world who don’t post.
Like damn the guy comes in and has a clear question and gets the run around from some posters, and yet I am the bad guy for pointing out he isn’t asking for their opinion on other matters. Look at some posts addressing me, so the default actually is to assume OP is clueless and it’s not E2.
I don’t disagree… the default response to these tends to be don’t use AI no matter what. Sometimes that’s good advice and I think you should exhaust many different options before trying AI but when it’s clear someone has tried so many different dosages and frequencies and wants to give AI a try I think it’s only helpful to just answer some basic AI usage questions rather than go down that rabbit hole again.
Had you been around 2 years ago, your mind would be blown! You were immediately shanked for mentioning an A.I.
