Should I Take Anastrozole Day of Injections?

Hi all,

I’m planning on introducing anastrozole into my TRT regimen because of my high e2 I cannot escape… I take 130mg Test cyp weekly injected EOD.

I want to add taking just .125 mg of anastrozole twice a week but I’m curious if I should be taking it with the same frequency I inject or if twice a week is okay with EOD injections…

Timing doesn’t matter too much in my experience. I usually take it as needed. Some doctors recommend taking it the day of injection, other doctors recommend taking it the day after. Just start with a low dose and see how you feel. Tweak it as needed.

With testosterone injections being every other day, it will not matter.

Have you ever had it

What is your T value on 130? That dose might actually be why your E is high, if it is actually too high.

What is your E value?

considering the half-life of both, it doesn’t matter. What are your numbers?

What’s your E2? Do you have symptoms that you think high E2 is causing?

You probably aren’t seeing high/lows with your EOD dosing, so I’d take it on the days inbetween your shots

@BrickHead @cliteastwood He’s asking about the timing of his AI, not your take on E2 or AIs in general.

That’s a fair point but he might not even need one.

No shit, Sherlock. But there’s a very good possibility that he doesn’t need an AI. Sometimes what we need to hear isn’t what we want to hear. I argued for 7 years that I needed an AI. And guess what? I not only didn’t need an AI, the AI was actually harming me.

Hes not asking you for your opinion if he needs one or not. Hes here asking something specific, you guys are assuming things. Just because you don’t know how to take an AI and harmed yourself doesn’t mean everyone else will as well.

I’m not assuming anything. I asked what his E2 levels are, and what symptoms he thinks are caused by high E2. I’m trying to help him, so I’d suggest you just stfu, and move along.

Sure you are trying to help him :ok_hand:. If you want to help him answer his question instead.

Are you really this obtuse?

Says the guy who can’t seem to stay on topic and instead steering it another way assuming the guy hasn’t trialed and errored things for himself. Speaking of obtuse, you realize different guys respond to different levels of E2 different right? Let’s say he says 35, what then? You think that 35 is the same for everyone?

AI use is a very personal thing. I experimented with it a lot. Sometimes my blood would show E2 in range and I would feel better taking a small amount to drop it closer to the bottom of the range. Now I’ve developed the ability to just take it as needed. It’s very fast acting, so taking it enough times you get the sense of what, if any, symptoms it resolves. I’ve never crashed my E2, but it seems OP is aware and cautious about that.

My opinion is if you feel like your T is dialed in, but you think things could still be better, then give an AI or HCG a try (one at a time and intelligently of course). It could improve things or make them worse. You won’t know until you try.

As for timing, it really doesn’t matter all that much, start with once or twice a week if you can split the pill that small and tweak as needed.

I’m going to use an analogy here, a guy comes to T- Nation and creates a thread about experiencing symptoms of low-T, has been overtraining the last couple of weeks. He says I’m about ready start TRT due to lower than normal T and wants advice about proper dosing.

I say that the overtraining is most likely why the T is suppressed and that the OP may not need TRT, just rest to get his natural T back up.

This may not have been his question, but I felt it responsible to point out that this guy may not need TRT and feel it’s responsible to speak up.

Then some dude comes in here and says that wasn’t the question and stay on topic.

Sometimes the help you receive is not what you expected or asked for and is exactly what you needed.

He is already on TRT, has experience, and claims to be high E2. Why is there always this holier than thou “he just doesn’t know any better” attitude?

Let me give you a better analogy. A guy has tried different things and gets what’s going on with his body. He has tried different frequency and different doses of Test, he feel like i just don’t want to drop my dose further let me incorporate an AI to see. Heck you know maybeeeeeee it’s not the final solution for him, but is damn annoying to have people jumping down your throat acting as if you are a complete novice and teaching you basic subtraction and addition when you asked about college level calculus.

In other words maybe he exhausted all other options sat there for weeks and weeks pondering and said ok if I am to try an AI let me just get advice on the timing so I don’t go in completely blind. Nothing is more annoying than the PhD Broskies pestering him about something completely irrelevant and multiple steps back of his journey

On this site, people ask questions and then later it is uncovered that there is more to consider than what they first presented. In this example, he said something is high, but didn’t give specifics. The question about the timing has been answered several times.

I typically don’t get into these in-depth questions for that very reason. Guy says TRT hasn’t improved anything after 6 months, then we later find out through asking questions the guy is on lithium, has had trauma to his man parts, and is severely overweight, and addicted to pain killers.

So when people say they have a problem, I always think they have other issues they are not mentioning.

That actually doesn’t sound like the majority of the cases. He clearly said he can’t escape high E2. I guess though let’s nip this in the bud.

Hey OP you heard that? you are just jumping the gun and don’t know what you are doing. Stop being clueless and go to basics. You probably have done no research and did not try different ways to help yourself like increasing frequency even further, lowering dose even further, and waiting it out long enough. It doesn’t matter how you have felt thus far, just wait it out it will get better. Or something else is up as it cannot possibly be your E2, it’s never your E2.
