For smh:
Coulter, as usual, is being stupid, and is brushed off with really no effort at all. I could beat her in a debate on my way home from a lobotomy.
– The U.S. flag was not born explicitly for the protection of slavery. It didn’t spend its entire existence as the battle color of a country struggling explicitly to protect slavery. There is no – no – comparison.
– The Democratic Party has existed continuously since its racist days (i.e., it did not both come and cease to be for, explicitly, racism), and, as political parties do, it has changed to the point that it is no longer the same thing that it was. I wonder if Ms. Coulter knows what happened to all those conservative, white, racist southern voters in the 1960s - 1970s. I know that you know what happened to them. Which makes this funny: conservatives raise a point about Dem racism in the past, highlighting, for anyone who has even casually studied American history, the fact that racist white southern Dem voters jumped ship and became Republicans a half a century ago. The data are very clear on this point, and they are easily found.
– “What the Confederate flag stands for is not slavery.” I have shown a hundred times in this very thread that this is complete and utter nonsense.
^ Not going to edit it away because i know you have a delay on your posts, Push, and I don’t know if you’ve responded already…but I have to say that I don’t want to re-do this whole argument at this point. Unless Coulter gets on here and starts making arguments: then it will probably be worth a revisit.

I think one of the commenters below had a great point:
If Black people were so offended by the Dukes of Hazard show, why was the “Daisy Dukes” rap song so popular. Why weren’t the libtards up in arms about it then?
I’m offended by all the Daisy Dukes shorts I am seeing this summer. I demand that they be removed IMMEDIATELY! LOL

Total insanity, Push…but check this one out:
Not getting a lot of press and I can tell you why. Just watch it. It’ll make you pissed as hell or sick to your stomach because heaven forbid if the roles were reversed. They would cry racism and probably want to ban the music, but in this case, no way, since White privilege is a sham…it’s all about Black privilege in this modern p.c. nanny-state.
Check this out! Where’s all the outrage? Where’s all the riots?
It’s a friggin’ disgrace!!

Saw this on Fox last night. That guy got pretty messed up. At least three of those pieces of shit should end up in jail. It’s unreal.

This is all getting more than ridiculous…including the actions of a large retailer like Wal-Mart.
I also think that it cheapens a real concern…
The flying of a Confederate Flag as an official “symbol” of a State is one thing…melting rings and all the other bullshit that has followed is another.
I really could give a damn about The General Lee, rings, and where Confederate Generals are buried. It’s all just getting WAY out of hand.

Memphis City Council Votes to Dig Up Grave of Confederate General (and wife), Sell His Statue
Smh, hope you’re happy…and getting happier as the days go by. What more could you’ve asked for?[/quote]
I certainly don’t give a shit about the dust that used to be a Confederate general and his wife, but what I asked for (actually, “said should happen”) has already happened, and it was plainly the correct thing to do – which is why nobody even attempted to argue otherwise, opting instead for nonsense about how we’re not supposed to call stupidity stupidity if we don’t live within a certain number of miles of the stupidity in question. There was never any question about the circumstances of the flag’s birth, and there was never any question about whether or not it was appropriate for a state government to fly on public property a flag born of those circumstances. Never any.
I will, however, be happy when smart people who are students of history choose to stop pulling wool over their own eyes.
One think that struck me with all this nonsense is the fact that a “Progressive” idea( of banning the battle flag of norther Virginia on all government property because it “offends” Progressives) got traction and resulted in a solid “win” for the Progressives, while other ideas and publicly funded projects offend the shit out of conservatives, yet nothing is done about it.
Take NPR for example. National PUBLIC radio. Publicly funded (and listener funded) so that it’s commercial free. Yet my home town “Conservative” radio station, WMAL, has tons of commercial breaks because it is NOT publicly funded. That offends me. Why should NPR get MY fucking tax dollars while WMAL does not? There is absolutely NO balance in NPR reporting - it’s a Progressive suck fest.
The NPR logo is a banner with three colors (each containing the N, the P and the R) those colors are red, BLACK and blue… Coincidence? Taking the symbols of the American flag and substituting white for black? Is that not just blatant racism? I call for NPR to change it’s logo and to be denied taxpayer funding, because their Progressive views are NOT represented by all Americans (not even half).
With a majority in Congress approving the funding, and the majority of both House and Senate being Republican, why does NPR still have funding? I think I’m going to write my Congressman and express my outrage. That’s the only thing those fuckers in Washington care about - who makes the most noise.
To clarify my position, I don’t care for NPR or their “journalism”, but I respect their right to have a voice. But not with MY tax money. They should be forced to run commercials like everyone else OR have more donor drives. But the fact that MY money is being used to fund such a piece of shit Progressive organization offends me.
Is anyone else offended?
EDIT: here is a link to petition for the de-funding of NPR. Let’s kick these progressives in the nuts. Take a minute and fill it out.

Prof: Make Confederate Flag A Hate Crime

In our lifetime, Freedom of Speech will cease as we know it.
Racist speech and hate speech will be criminalized. Freedom of assembly will be regulated. Religious freedoms will be secondary to the state.
All it takes is some new SC justices, a few decisions, and let the erosion begin.
This is the end result of political correctness.
