WTF, my last post was put in where my first post on the log was. WTF is going on here, I KNOW I didn’t do that.

Thought I was going to be good this week but when I came home from the pool there was wine and chocolate in the house. It doesn’t count if I don’t buy it, right?[/quote]
Nope, doesn’t count. It’s the non-responsibility clause.
Y’know, this is the only active log that doesn’t have photos. This should be remedied!
Good job on the avi!
You could maybe put stuff from your log together into an article so you’re not starting from scratch?
Went out on a work outing on Thurs, I don’t mind going out to dinner but then was talked into going to a bar afterwards. I’m not really keen on drinking by itself, I love to have drinks with food. Its not really my idea of fun, hanging out with people I work with all day long who don’t understand that I don’t want another fucking drink and listening to crappy music.
After that I just didn’t want to communicate with anyone for awhile. I really do think if left to my own devices I could easily be THAT old woman who lives in the forest and has gone quite feral.
Friday did some snatching, was just an ok session but I didn’t have access to a computer to record it. Which was a pity as I managed one rep where I failed where the bar landed behind me. Now I’ve seen it with other people but I’ve never done that before and it would’ve been good to see why I did it. Then had a nice yoga session, I was going to go to the pool but fell asleep on the couch.
nlimain, thanks, it happened again yesterday at the lectures. I actually brought in some pretty ok food, but seriously needed lots of coffee started early morning, then I got tempted with all the chocolate they had around.
Cal, oh more peer pressure. I’m not going to promise any pictures of me, but I’ll try to find something interesting now and then.
Patch2, thanks and actually that’s a BRILLIANT idea, I actually have some emails I sent around to people too about diving. I’ll do that, the razzle it up with some SEO keywords. Essentially we are all writing articles just to put some more content up on our site. THANKS!
yay more vid
my log doesn’t have pictures, either. not sure how or why but photobooth seems to have disappeared from my computer…
now i could be wrong (go with your coach) but i reckon your hips are rising a bit early. but that really might be differences in technique preference. the bar is moving back from the floor the way you are doing it and it is avoiding your knees (yay!) so that is good. if your hips were down more then i think you might need to frog your legs more so the knees go more out to the sides in order for you to avoid them. looking good!!
people tell me that missing behind is progress. something is wrong if you don’t miss behind sometimes. not quite sure why that is… maybe because it means that you are finishing the pull good and perhaps sometimes (oops) over-driving it. which i guess is progress on constantly underdriving it (as i have a habit of doing). that is just a guess, though.
Oh god, Techno - I think we’re twins. Love meals and conversation and I’m happy to have some wine with that. Hate bars and pubs. I’ll be joining you in that forest, I reckon. I already live in a tiny flat that resembles the unabomber’s shack.

Ok here is a picture from one of my diving lectures yesterday, it shows all the areas where I had sinus squeeze/ aches.
Lexy, any critque is welcomed since I won’t be seeing my coach for a couple of weeks. Koing just gave me some great advice too.
Cal, a forest sounds real nice right now, TOM is here about 3 days early.
Ok here is another pic, I took this after one of the first times I did a snatch, it took my knee awhile to trust me again, I still think it doesn’t fully trust me.
That is NOT sexy. Oh man…did it look worse than it felt??
So went to the bleeding doctor again, inflammation doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. He gave me these pills you can take in the short term to reduce inflammation but if you take them over longer periods they cause all sorts of havoc. Usually people with autoimmune issues would have to go on them. And if they do work there is no guarantee that the inflammation won’t come back once I stop taking them. Grrrr!!!
Also he wants me to get tested for endometriosis, I was tested awhile back in my twenties with a pelvic exam but apparently the only proper way to test is to stick a camera through your belly button. That was news to me and doesn’t sound particulary appealing.
I’ve been quite lazy since Friday’s session, need to do major cleaning but going to pool tonight, I have some oly vids to look at and might squeeze some bulgarians and ytwl’s before pool.

MiM, sort of, I could walk fine but certainly had to stay away from doggy-styling it ![]()
This happened a couple of months ago but just trying to keep Ms. Cal interested with different pics.
It sucks when training injuries interfere with your sex life! I’ve never liked being on top because my hips hurt and my knees click when I bounce up and down. Fuck that.
ouch. yeah, i got told i wouldn’t hit my knees but turns out i did. bit scared of that now, but you got yours a lot worse than i did. ouch.
Cal, haha yeah well you know you just have to roll with the punches.
Lexy, yeah they are still a bit shy when the bar comes near them.
Anyway gals fucking pissed off, my hips are killing me, didn’t do anything weird. And after trying to go through some of Glenn Pendlay’s vids, and I already had my suspicions about this, but the bar I’m using at home, my grip isn’t able to go wide enough on it, hence my arms are not allowing the bar to sit by the explosive part of my hips. What’s a girl to do ![]()
This is turning into my fav lunch.
Hips are slightly better, think it has to do with my TOM, everything just tightens up. Won’t have access to weights or anything today. Might get my hands on a broom or something to go fly around the place. Might as well do some plyo stuff and some weightless bulgarians.
Didn’t get a chance to do everything I wanted yesterday, too much house work. Hip opening yoga at home. Did some laps with fins, then a few breaststrokes and back crawls.
One thing I wanted to ask, since you’re a swimmer - do you have any issues with chlorine? After I’ve swum I spend the rest of the morning blowing my nose and sneezing. I feel like I’ve got a cold. It sucks.
My goggles also leave massive rings around my eyes that make me look as though I have the eye bags of a 90 year old. I don’t know what I can do about that - they’re already on maximum extension (I have a big head!)
Yep I have issues with chlorine. I have to scrub myself, I got some swimmers shampoo that I’m now using to scrub down my face and body. Been using the saline spray right after and I have to do a nasal irrigation anyway as part of my anti-inflammatory therapy (at least that’s what I’m calling it). I have notice that if the water and area of the pool is kept warm, they have to put in more chlorine than if the pool is cooler.
I gave up on goggles and just use my diving mask, at least you can equalise the pressure then so its not so tight but still snug. Don’t know how comfortable you’d be with that.
The pool I swim in is pretty warm. Kids swim in it (not while I’m there - I go to the adult session only) so they have to keep it aorund 28 degrees (about 83F). So yes, a LOT of chlorine in there.
Diving mask eh? I might get some odd looks, lol.
