Shedding Fat For Div. 1 Baseball

Hey guys, the last 2 months or so I have been focusing on putting on some good weight and increasing strength all while keeping a good diet. I’m at the point where I am four weeks out from the start of school/fall practice (Division 1 Baseball) and would like to know what the best option is for shedding off some unneeded fat.

I’m ~6’ 200lbs. Squat (A2G): 295 for six reps. Bench (DB): 90lbs for six reps. Barbell RDL: 275 for 6 reps (Had about 4 reps left in the tank). Bodyfat ~15%.

Have you looked at the Waterbury 10x3 plan?

Best way to drop fat is cardio and nutrition. Try limiting fat and simple carbs. Make sure you get your carbs in the morning and post workout. Keep fats to things like olive oil, omega 3’s, etc. Cardio after you lift weights is helpful as well. Try and get at least 20 minutes because anything other than that is anaerobic which won’t help with fat loss.

Ya I was looking at the Waterbury 10x3 plan it looks like something that I would be interested in. Should help me keep my strength up while also increasing my work capacity and helping to cut out some fat. My diet is pretty good right now and a sample day looks like the following

Breakfast: 6 Whole Eggs+PBJ on Whole Grain
Meal 2: 3 Chicken Sausages with handful of raw almonds
Meal 3: Chicken Breast w/ Mixed Veggies
Meal 4: Steak with veggies and on training days some brown rice with olive oil.
Meal 5: 6 oz turkey breast and more raw almonds.
Off Days I have a shake consisting of 2 Scoops Grow, Strawberrys, FF Milk.
Training Days I consume 2 scoops Grow+5g creatine before and after my workout (I drink half before and half after). I also have recently been integrating fish oil into my diet after reading all the good things about it.
