Shane's Over 35 Shenanigans

Thanks Trent.

I used to have a big knee issue and I started taking collagen daily and damned if it didn’t stop bothering me. Idk man. It was either that or the 2 rounds of BPC 157 that I did. I am leaning more toward the daily collagen though because the BPC 157 I took orally.

Heck yeah Shane! Tons of good work in 60 minutes there. Would love to hit those numbers on regular bench, much less CGBP. :joy: Hopefully the elbow pain goes away soon. Way to get after it!

Thanks Trent. Thankfully I didn’t keep grinding through the pain, so my elbows didn’t take too much of a hit. I am learning.

Sunday Cardio
Weight 254.4
Weekly cals 3250

5 minute cool down
5 minute stretch

Had to work yesterday so ride got bumped to today. Also gave blood yesterday so I was feeling it today.

Couple notes here. Started subcutaneous injection EOD instead in IM MWF. I was 257 last Sunday, 254.4 today. Cals don’t match my weight drop. Hoping I am not dropping muscle. Going to keep going though and am hoping it will even out soon enough.

Next week back to three days lifting and 3 days cycling to prepare for the 100 mile ride. Going to run the less boring option on BBB so I am squatting every week.

Nice pace on the Peloton ride and those CGBP/DB Row supersets were incredible this morning. Seriously impressive Shane!

As far as the weight loss goes, I feel like you’ve been in the 250’s for a while now? Are you taking something to help you lose weight or are you concerned that you’ve been losing too much weight?

Thanks Trent. No I am not taking anything to help lose weight.

When taking Testosterone, the preferred way is intramuscular. I switched over to subcutaneous injections. I did this to see if it would have a preferred effect on my hematocrit.

I was afraid I was losing weight, muscle, too fast.

Sounds like a challenging ride this morning. Way to get it done! That seems like more of an interval ride than power zone. Might have to give that a try. :sunglasses:

Can you do velodrome cycling on a Peloton? I just watched the Olympic highlights on YouTube of the road races, and some of the track races. The US woman who won the road race also competed on the track. Good stuff!

One of the trainers I use from time to time actually talks about racing competitively in the velodrome. She put us through a class that mimicked the intense starts and drafting as well as being the leader.

Highest wattage output I ever did, 1100 watts, was on that ride.

It’s not a typical ride type though. Mostly your typical cycle type classes.

Heck yeah Shane! Loving those DL sets! DOH grip is some hardcore stuff too! Back in the day I seem to remember my DOH grip would start to fail after a few reps once I got into the 300’s. 5x345 is outstanding to me.
