Shane's Over 35 Shenanigans

Thanks Trent. Hate it when work gets in the way of a good workout! Good job knocking out something.

LoL at Twitter. I just came back after Elon bought it. Figured I would try to support it. I really don’t get it. I guess it’s kind of like a sounding board for the daily news. I mostly just retweet sports stuff.

Yeah man, it seems kind of like a bunch of (mostly) famous people just vomiting out opinions/information 24 hours per day. I would say that if they are on Twitter often enough to post things 20 times per day they need to make some changes in their lives. I mainly joined to support free speech. Once they said Babylon Bee and Jordan Peterson were back on that was the green light for me. Doubt I will post often on there though. Even most of the friends I talk to on Instagram I don’t really want to friend on Twitter because there isn’t anyone on earth that I want to see a million posts per day from. :joy: I like that about IG. It is the perfect balance. Most of the content is pleasant or funny and most people post here and there but not too much. Facebook, to me, is still too much, but Twitter is like FB on steroids.

Pretty much the way I see it as well. I wonder if Elon is going to let Trump back on? Heads would explode if that happened.

Sunday Cardio

Peloton

Drank some beers last night while watching football. Slight hangover this morning but I got it done. I figured I would test to see how beers affect my ride. I did the exact same ride I did on 11/16. My average heart rate was about 13 BPM higher. Makes sense I guess.

Nice job on that Peloton ride Shane. Interesting about your HR being higher. I suppose there could be some truth to that. Maybe that’s why I always have such a high HR on cardio. Just doing what I can to maximize my heart health I guess. :joy:

Looks like they did indeed let Trump back on but my guess is that he stays on his platform as he invested in that. If he really wants to reach a lot of people, though, he should get back on Twitter.

Truer words have not been spoken, haha!

Nice consistent work in here, BTW.

No doubt. There have been some pretty good memes about that. :joy:

Nice session this morning Shane. Super strong benching, that’s for sure. Strong work on the rows and other stuff as well. Yeah, I’ve been lifting in the morning for so long now that I don’t know it any other way. :joy: Nah, I remember a month or two ago when I slept in one morning. Took my daughter to school and hit the gym after that (around 7:45AM) and thinking how much better everything felt then, compared to 6:00AM or earlier. I can’t imagine going from mid-day to early morning. That would be a hell of an adjustment. Way to get after it though and still damned strong IMO.

Thanks Trent. It is definitely different the earlier you do it. I will get used to it though, that or I will forget what I was missing. LoL

Nice one, get it done and out the way early - freeing up the rest of the day!

Yeah, it’s the getting out of bed early that’s tough. I am getting used to it though.

One thing that sucks about early morning is the sauna isn’t hot. I turned it in when I got there and an hour later it had only reached 140 degrees. I guess I will do my cardio/sauna at lunch time a couple times a week.

One hell of a leg day Shane. Still amazed at those squat numbers after all that other work. Sorry to hear about the sauna. Maybe go in there and crank it up right when you arrive and it will be warm by the end of your workout? :man_shrugging:

Thanks Trent. I tried cranking it up when I got there. Unfortunately, and hour isn’t long enough to get it up to full heat. :frowning:

It was definitely humming today when I got there at my usual time though. LoL

Wednesday Cardio

Elliptical
45 minutes
600 ish cals
Sauna 15 minutes. Lots of sweat.

That is it. Tomorrow morning I plan to row a 10k since I can’t do the Gobble Run 10K with the wife since my knee sucks. Rowing 10K is just miserable enough to qualify for not giving a damn about how much I eat the rest of the day.

Hope everyone has a great and safe holiday. Happy Thanksgiving!

Nice job on the elliptical and sauna Shane. Glad you were able to torch some cals and get your sweat on.

Also, glad you get to do some exercise tomorrow too. Do that last 1K for me.
