Couple of quick observations from starting TRT. My recovery from my leg day last week was only a couple days. Prior leg days would have me sore almost all the way until my next leg day. So it’s a lot better. Also generally have more energy daily. I know it’s going to take awhile to get fully dialed in but so far so good.
Don’t know how I could sum it all up but you did tons of good work in here for the last week. Thanks for burning some extra calories for me because I definitely needed it. Hope the pool was good today. We got home from vacation this afternoon and I thought I’d take the kids to the pool for ~45 minutes or so this evening. We showed up and there was a band and a couple of food trucks, and just about everyone we knew in the neighborhood. Long story short, we are aiming for a 9:30PM dinner.
LoL. Thanks Trent. Pool was good but cold. It’s been a mild and wet start to our summer so the pool is still pretty cold. Had fun though but your pool definitely sounds like a lot more fun than ours.
Nice job on the elliptical Shane. I didn’t know lifting a lot could screw up your blood work, but then again, I’m no doctor. Hope the results come back OK.
Don’t know how your pool could be cold. We had a cold Spring too and ours is like bath water now. Took the kids back up there tonight after work and ended up having a few beers with some friends. Was an hour late getting home and got an earful from my wife. Yeah, this neighborhood is a blessing and a curse I guess…
Heck of a session Shane. Looks like you are swapping a bunch of stuff out on the next one. That I can relate to. Sorry to hear that the gym is so crowded. Ours is dead this week. I’m thinking most people are on vacation. Hope the blood work comes back OK.
Hell of a session Shane! Really solid numbers on high incline DB press. Those OH DB Tricep extensions are brutal. About 20 years ago I dislocated my shoulder doing that with a 95 lb dumbbell. Needless to say I took that exercise out of the rotation after that. Surprised the smith machine bar didn’t break with all that weight on there too. Great work!
Thank you. Yeah those DB OH tricep extensions are hard to get into place and hell if you fail a rep. I will probably be swapped out for the rope again.
Man, that was one heck of a leg session Shane! My guess is you’re going to be a little sore tomorrow. Leg press, those machines that I avoid, then a ton of squats. That will do the trick! Glad you were able to get in there early again. I was doing my metcon a few minutes after 6:00AM this morning so I may have been right there with you.
