Shane's Over 35 Shenanigans

Good session. What a beautiful gym.

Band extensions are a great match for the triceps strength curve, with the resistance being least at the elbows’ most vulnerable position. You can work the tri’s to death without hurting the joint

Thank you! It is all relative man. 100 pound DBs are freaking heavy. :+1:

Yeah, it was nice. I was thinking to myself, I have the best home gym ever. Haha.

Thank you. Yeah, it is nice.

That makes a ton of sense. I am going to be using them a lot more going forward.

I think there is less tension at the “bottom” or where the elbows are bent all the way back which is probably the most vulnerable position

I never liked to do heavy triceps extensions for this reason although some guys can get away with it with no elbow issues

Yeah my elbows are starting to get pissy so they felt like a good alternative.

Going to keep giving them a try. :+1:

Thanks for the wisdom.

Took today off. Was too crazy. Had to meet equipment guy in at my shop at 6:15. Then spent the day in here changing a shaft that weighed close to 400 pounds.

Some days, it’s like that.

That sucks man! Don’t blame you for taking the day off!

Thanks Trent. Still feeling it today.

That’s it.

Tried to play with some KG plates today, my next competition uses them so I need to get accustomed to the jumps for my 3 attempts.

Everything felt heavy. Chalked it up to yesterday’s heat and manual labor.

Took me more time figuring out what to put on the bar than it did lifting :joy:.

That’s it. Cut my rows short because my erectors are sore. Squats and deads yesterday about fried them.

Still a good workout though. Nice to hit 255 for a double on incline bench.

Crushed it yesterday and today Shane! You see, if you wouldn’t have converted your deadlift weight back into pounds those all would have been PR’s because it is a different unit of measurement. :man_shrugging: :joy: Nah, seriously impressive sets on those, squats and leg press. Then crushing another PR on Incline Bench today! More respectable work after that too. :flexed_biceps: Way to get after it Shane!

Good work man. You lost me at 30 minutes sled push though… :exploding_head: That sounds a lot like forced labor to me. :joy:
