Hey guys. Just caught this post doing a search for San Francisco. Just moved here and looking around, trying to find the right gym and meet a few cool buds. Glad to see there are some other bay area t-men here.
Hey fellas, Davies and my bud will be conducting a 2-day seminar in the bay area January 18th and 19th ! You can sign up at the renegadetraining.com site. My shop will be co-sponsoring the event and I’ll have sweet deals on Biotest supps as well. Come check us out in Walnut Creek,CA.
I am interested! I went to the site but there is no real explanation of what we will be doing for two days. I need more info before I drop $ 300.00. But, it would a real honor to train with coach Davies.
Good to see this thread revived. I’m flying into Oakland tomorrow, where I’ll be staying with my brother & friend in Pinole (near Berkley). Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knew somewhere I could get Biotest products at a reasonable price. I would normally just order from the Internet, but this trip popped up at the last minute and I decided there’s a couple things I’d like to have. Anyone?
i’m in east bay, pleasanton. will the biotest supps be cheaper than online? tia
I don’t know of any place in the area. Vitaplus is based out of Concord and has good prices, but I don’t know if they are solely internet. Check it out and you might find what you need.
Well, I’ve met several people in the Bay Area, but I was hoping to organize a get together for after the New Year.
Some ideas that I had:
1. Indoor rock climbing at one of the local clubs
2. BBQ and basketball, med ball training, kbell training, whatever
Let me know if anything sounds good or if you have other ideas.
We have 2 locations in the East Bay!
San Ramon, CA (very close to Pleasanton)and Concord, CA. Just go to our site vitaplus.net and give me a call.
Jason, I was at the Nov. Kbell seminar, and I would be up for joining the bay area festivities. I am located in Pleasanton.

Wow, I thought this thread was long gone. Good to see it is back and we have some new ‘members’ chiming in. Jason you know i am down for any and everything, but i would personally love to climb. This will be a great challenge for everyone to really ‘know’ what their body weight feels like. Lets get this going. Hopefully we can get a few more people then the K-Bell workshop produced.
I think rock climbing would be a lot of fun and a great workout. Generally a day pass to any of the facilities would run about $15 and equipment would run another $5-10. If you’ve never climbed before, it is great. I started climbing a couple of years ago and did it steadily for a couple of months, but haven’t done anything for about 2-3 years.
Check out planetgranite.com for a look at one of the local climbing gyms - there is a facility in Santa Clara and Belmont.
If people are interested in doing this sometime in Jan, Feb or March, please let me know. I'd definitely be willing to set something up - get us a group rate, class on belaying technique, etc.
Just reply to this thread with a "yes I'm interested" and throw out a couple of weekends that you might be able to do this on.
Jay, Jason, I’m down for anything. I was wondering of we were ever going to meet again. Rock climbing sounds fun, although I’ve never done it before. I was also thinking of maybe having a Tahoe trip. I’ve always wanted to learn how to snowboard. Right now I’m sick with something really nasty, but once I get better, you’ll be hearing from me. Also, I got a 70 pound kettlebell that’s on the way. When I get it, we can all slug it around.
While I don’t currently live in the Bay Area (at least, yet… I’m considering moving down there after graduation in the spring), I visit quite frequently. If some plans could be finalized for climbing in February or March, I’d almost certainly be able to make it. Also, I could drag along one or two other fellow T-Men. Climbing itself kicks ass, and doing it with assembled T-Men would be even better.
Ike - sounds good man. We can get something squared away for Feb or March. Most likely a few of us will have to figure out a time and then just make an announcement here on the forum. Send me an email, so that I can easily get in contact with you if needed.
