Back relaxed

You look plenty lean to me dude. Def eat more and make gains bro. Also, looks like you need more back, so focusing on that area a bit more would provide gainzy results!

Thanks guys.

Yeah back definitely sucks big time but I’m finally starting to actually feel it during my back exercises so I’m sure it’ll get better. I’m doing more back exercises than anything else as well.

One tweak I’ve have made for back work that I have really liked the addition of is using straps on isolation work as much as possible (pull ups especially) to take your grip out of it and get dat lat contraction. Also I found training back twice a week minimum saw pretty big improvements over the course of a few months.

All those things are already being done so I’m hoping that, along with more food, it’ll add some muscle to my back.

It will do then. Should look pretty different in a year or so.

If anyone is bored you could try to download a program called Kinovea to track some of your lifts.

I just tracked the bar path of a few lifts just for fun

Cool programme, I will definitely try it. Very good bar path on the squats- now work on getting that sumo DL as one smooth pull and not 2 seperate ones!

Yeah it seems pretty fun. I like how I get further and further forward on the squats.

The DL will be smashed this week (in a single pull)

Cycle 4 Week 3 Squat

Offset DB Curl
8kg x 8
12kg x 8
18kg x 29RP

Squat
20kg x 8
60kg x 5
100kg x 5
132.5kg x 5
150kg x 3
167.5kg x 1 Vid
175kg x 1 Vid
Back to squatting in OL shoes. Was pretty decent.

Leg Curl
“20” x 10
“35” x 23RP

Front Squat Hold
60kg x 10s
100kg x 10s
140kg x 10s
160kg x 10s
180kg x 10s
I was glad I didn’t have to squat the weight but at least I know I can hold the bar without dying.

Leg Press Calf Raise
“90” x 10
“120” x 15 (5s negative - 15s stretch)

Nice squat. Did you do the front squat holds with clean grip or cross?

I would have definitely died. I’ve been using clean grip for awhile but when I go heavy I just cant hold it without straps to assist.

I was shaking violently the whole time. I think it’ll help with my confidence when I get back to front squatting.

Yeah, quite possibly. Back squat walkouts are pretty easy but fronts are no doubt horrible.

Mr Perfect has spoken. I just want to be as lean as you lol.

I’ve begun upping calories to a whopping ~3000/day.

I just had the bar on the safety bars, so I didn’t have to walk it out.

It’s all good. I will try some. I’ve decided I like unracks/walkouts. Great mentally to get used to heavy weight in a similar way partials are.
