You mean because it wouldn’t pass in a PL meet or because you’ve done more in the past? PRs is PRs if its the former, you could have probably taken another run and got it without the slowdown from the looks of things.
The former. The downward movement would have gotten it red lighted but I’ll call it a PR when I hit it properly in two weeks.
I thought so- dude you will hit at least that, it has to have been a minor technique issue for you to stop pulling then carry out w/o a hitch. I reckon 200kg is yours bro.
Now I’ll get a belt I’m looking forward to seeing what will happen.

Indeed. Holding off as long as possible seems to be a decent strategy with belts. Getting ~400 squat without ever using one as you have done is pretty cool.

Hopefully that’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Pepper Your Angus!
Cycle 4 Week 1 OH
Belt arrived this morning. It seems like it’ll take a little time getting used to.

20kg x 8
42.5kg x 3
50kg x 3
55kg x 5 PR
SS with
Pull Ups

Done with a pause. This made my strength go from lol to LOL

“65” x 8
“80” x 11
Incline Rear Delt
5kg x 20
5kg x 15-5 (5 partials)

Do I even rear delt?
Scarecrows

60kg x 5
100kg x 3
115kg x 5
132.5kg x 5
150kg x 4 + 1 assisted
Crap. 5 reps was the goal but couldn’t get it, even with a belt for the first time.
Leg Curl
“20” x 10
“30” x 32RP
Ab Wheel
bw x 20
2 x bw x 12
Leg Press Calf Raise
“80” x 10
“110” x 15
Apart from the squat it wasn’t bad. I hope the less than stellar performance is because of training in the evening.
If you’ve just started using a belt it could be a tightness issue, perhaps you are used to pushing out on your abs further and did the belt too tight or perhaps you could have done the belt tighter and you let your core get looser then you usually would because you had a belt on.
I could be totally wrong though.

Jake - Too tight might be the problem. I’ll be loosening it up for next time.
Quincy - Plz go be Asian somewhere else.
Solid lifts as always mayne, getting used to the belt will come eventually. Give it a couple of weeks mayyyyne. xoxox
phlegms - Thanks. Did you stop logging?

Trained at the normal time today. That’s much better. My connection with my back is getting loads better and I also think my back is starting to look better. That might be from not having as huge love handles anymore though.
Will be belting up for DLs tomorrow.

I have for the time being. I’ve just decided to focus on my lifts for a while rather than what others think of my lifts. I’ll start logging again eventually. Annoy me on FB if you want deets on my training!

I like your lifts <3
I’ll just imagine you’re doing Smolov for Reverse EZ-Bar Curls, Cable Kickbacks and Ab Wheel for swoleness.
And just to clarify your Ellis right?

Deadlift
60kg x 5

117.5kg x 5
135kg x 5

14kg x 8
20kg x 20 PR
Horizontal Leg Press
“100” x 10
“150” x 20 PR
Ab Pulldown

“75” x 12
“90” x 10
“55” x 12
“70” x 10
First 3 sets standing, last 2 on the ground. Not quite sure which I prefer.
PRs on everything and had a bit in the tank on everything so I’m quite pleased.
I also got the grades from the last exam and that turned out to be above the class average, which surprised me quite a bit since I don’t feel like I know anything about the subject. That means I’m certain I won’t have to do any re-exams in August.
Solid gains on all fronts bro, keep it up dawg!
I’m with you on deadlift… I need an “air notch” for maximum power. Squats for some reason I like it super tight though.
Cycle 4 Week 2 Bench
Bench
20kg x 8
50kg x 5
67.5kg x 5
77.5kg x 5
87.5kg x 9 missed 10th
Fine enough, since I’ve had to condense this week a bit.
Throat Press
60lbs x 10
80lbs x 30RP
HS Pullover
40kg x 10
80kg x 6
80kg x 20RP
DB Rows
30kg x 6
100lbs x 9
90lbs x 12
A bit of oomph on the way up. Looking forward to using the 220lbs on these in a distant future.
Lateral Raise
14kg x 12
14kg x 10
I’m really having trouble deciding where to go with my diet. On one side I would definitely prefer to be leaner, but on the other side I really have a minimal amount of muscle and I have really been that pleased with my strength progress. So I think I’ll start upping my calories a bit again.
Pics upcoming.
