You guys serially care about some chick movie?
Yes, but not because it’s a chick movie. My issue is this. I like watching all movies, even chick flicks. However, a movie like this only has an appeal to fans of the show. Since I never watched the show, I can’t get into the movie.
I’d feel the same about any movie based on a TV show that I wasn’t a fan of.
Your issue is that a movie was made that you have no interest in seeing?
Why do you women always do this? Everything we men try to do, you women come in and kick out our feet from under us. We try having a civilized discussion and you come in with your estrogen flaring, screaming about “Sex and the City is great, why can’t you be like us, drink more cosmopolitans, etc.” Seriously, stop it. You take everything else away from us…let us have this.
You didn’t see any of us women creating mocking threads about your man-movies
what is so threatening to you?
STOP PICKING ON US
The reason why men can complain about chick flicks is that our wives/girlfriends/dates make us go see this shit. No man ever made you watch a guy flick.

Truth. This is the ONLY reason I ever saw “Bring it On”. She had the time of her life, though.
Hint for the youngsters: “Don’t ever take a girl who used to be a cheerleader to a movie about cheerleaders”. You can actually feel the testosterone leave your body.
…and NO, that does not feel like sex.

I can vouch for this. I had the extreme pleasure of watching Step Up and various episode of So You Think You Can Dance with about 10 dancers. It was like Hell, but worse.

So true, I actually offered to take my wife to see Sex in the City. She declined. she said I would either make fun of her, complain that it sucked, complain to my buddies that she made me take her, and/or make her go see something stupid that she didn’t want to see, but said i went to see your dumb movie.
She’s a smart gal. If you have regular woman in your life, you might have to deal with this chick flick nonsense, but she should reciprocate.
My wife actually loves horror movies, but the problem is that most suck. I just put up with them. She a little sketchy with her comedy tastes. She thought Wild hogs and White chicks were hilarious, while I prefer Animal House, Holy Grail,Christmas Vacation and such. But at least she hates msot chick flicks.
And before most gals get their panties in a bunch, most chick flicks are awful, stupid, and less realistic than Ironman. Most billionaires marry prostitutes for examples. Especially streetwalkers. Women experiencing true love through priceless necklaces overboard instead of giving them to some guy who spent a small fortune on an expedition to salvage the titanic.
And so on. I’m more likely to wake up with adamantium bones and a healing factor than most of that crap.
Oh my panties aren’t in a bunch and I am not planning on seeing the show.
Come on guys! It is funny that you all are discusing this movie.
Besides, I like cheesy horror movies so no one likes movies that I like. I’m tough, I can take it!

We’re not really discussing the actual movie per se, but rather the horrific females who enjoy watching it.

But for the single guys, this should be the easiest movie audience for guys to hit on. Think of that movie, it is desperate women who are so needy they blame their being single on men. Those women would roll over for anything.

So you’re saying they are stupid then?
You mean to tell me I missed on a perfect opportunity to stand outside a theater after each showing and hit on all the girls as they were walking out. It was on three screens at my local theater, so man I really could have cleaned up.

From wiki:
The film begins with a voiceover stating:
"The film you are about to see is inspired by true events. According to the F.B.I. there are an estimated 1.4 million violent crimes in America each year. On the night of February 11, 2005 Kristen McKay and James Hoyt went to a friend's wedding reception and returned to the Hoyt family's summer home. The brutal events that took place there are still not entirely known."

I saw the trailer for that as well. It looks like it could be good, but I like cheesy horror too, so what the fuck do I know.

It’s very entertaining listening to the guys whine about a stupid movie.
And don’t try and tell me you’re not whining, cause that is sure enough what it reads like to me.

I was just Googling and it is being surmised that it is based on a few actual events such as the Keddie Cabin murders and the Manson Family murders
On April 11th, 1981, in a small resort cabin nestled in the Hills of northern California, a triple murder took place so horrific it still haunts the area to this day.
That morning around 9:00a.m., Sheila Sharp, who had stayed the night at a neighbor??s house not more than 15 feet away, walked through her front door, not knowing what she was about to see would change her life forever. Directly inside, on the floor, were her 16 year old brother, John Sharp, and his 17 year old friend, Dana Wingate. Both were bound hand and foot, stabbed, and hammered to death. There was blood on every surface of the cabin. On the blood-soaked couch was her mother, Sue Sharp, also murdered in the same brutal fashion. Amazingly, her 2 younger brothers and a friend were in a back bedroom, untouched. However, her younger sister, Tina, was missing.
The walls had cuts on them, the furniture was busted up, and the victims were beaten. However, no one seemed to hear anything that night. The case quickly grew cold, and rumors of the town being haunted hurt the community so deeply it eventually became a ghost town, with only a hand full of residence living there today.
To this day, the case remains unsolved.
Why don’t the ones who survived know what happened?

Here come the serially angry women!
The Strangers was a good movie, outside of a few horror movie staples (commando killers, “let’s split up”, etc…).

Is that the one with the people in the masks just standing around outside? I love horror. I don’t know about most people, but if I see a bunch of people in scary masks running around my front yard, I’m going real life Quake 3 on their asses. Killing Spree!!!
