Back in the mid 90’s I purchased a book on training titled “serious growth 3”. It was in an ad in the Iron Man mag. After reading the book I came to the conclusion that it seriously sucked! It seemed to have some interesting theories but it did not seem to have any “real” science behind it. The program was vague in it’s descriptions of how the body reacts to the program. Anyway, I just wanted to know if anyone out there is familiar with the book and if they’ve had any success with the program. thanks
I do not know if anyone ever got back to you, but I purchased the program as well and I made incredible gains. The training was tough but the key for my was variety. I kept changing the movements around to help keep me fresh, engaged and luckily injury free.
In one year I gained well over 30Lbs of lean mass. I was workng out in the morning before work and ate like a fucking animal. I have never done steroids and I am not a big fan of supplements (they are best for the serious competitive athlete as I am just a serious garage athlete). ALL of my lifts went up as well.
The program realy helped me find out what worked bnest for me and I was really pleased. I still have my old temple and I recently convertd it to excel for a friend of mine who is doing great with it as well. Have you tried it?
I think the key is to change the exercises every three weeks, but the rest was spot on for me
