BW 218.6, so no change.

That’s what I was expecting from the increase in carb intake, so I’m still on track.

Edit: My landlords keep giving me really tasty food that I can’t eat right now lol, they used to just invite me for dinner every one and a while but lately they’ve been giving me food about twice a week

Thanks man, I’ll get some pics up here shortly I think.

I carbed up for my front squat test today so I’m pretty bloated, probably up a few pounds. Seems to have done the trick performance wise though.

Good set. Pretty much dropped the last rep on the pins, just had nothing left at that point.

leg curl 3x10
leg raise 3x15

Nice work trav, looks like your getting stronger and leaner at the same time.

Good work! Planning on going up on a single test also in the front squat?
If you want squatting inspiration, check out my friend Per. He’s called kraftsportNO at youtube. He’s doing no-no-no lifts, squatting paused sets well above my single max

stronger and leaner FTW!!

Thanks man, I am being impatient with my strength but I probably shouldn’t be since I’m dropping weight.

I am doing a program that won’t have me doing a heavy single for a while, but the ‘test’ sets will continue to get heavier each cycle and eventually I will hit one. Thanks I will check that out on youtube!

I hope so, thanks!

Couldn’t sleep so went and did my Standing press workout early this morning! No one there so it was easy to video

Lost my balance on final rep, but locked it out. Funny how your body will squirm to move the weight when you’re not secured to something. Also recorded some of my accessory work, tried to PR on a few lifts today.

Pullups
-190x20

Another good day, time to eat and rest before my DL test day

Nice PR on the standing press… cant wait to get back to reppin the 45’s again.

And those pullups are lookin pretty beastly. Keep it up man.

215.8 this morning, back on track.

that felt like plenty today[/quote]

That looked like a really wide dip grip. I would scoot back a little so that my elbows were closer to my sides. Plus you will be able to use more weight; less stress on shoulders and elbows.

Nice workout with the standing press! How is your shoulder health? Thinking about your current technique contra the olympic weightlifter technique, starting with elbows forward, turning them outwards during the lift and sticking the head forward under the bar. For both me and the guys in my team it works many times better to do the press this way  Better shoulder health and stronger lifts.

Got these after breakfast and coffee this morning. Taped the camera to my hat for these haha.

Pretty much look the same I think, but I’m lighter so something must be happening.

Actually it may seem counter intuitive but a wider grip is the only one that actually feels okay for my joints, closer grip has always felt more awkward and hard on my shoulders. My grip is about as wide as my bench grip and I tuck my elbows. Idk, everyone’s different I guess!

Maybe I’ll mess around with it next time to see though anyways, could have been something else bothering me last time.

Thanks! I have a very old rotator cuff injury but it hasn’t bothered me for a long time. Yeah I need to work on my lockout for those, that last rep was pretty ugly haha. I’ll think about what you said during my next standing press workout!

That’s actually a good point. If you can do it that wide pain free, by all means continue.

You look powerful on the pics! Guess you will be satisfied when you get leaner and the muscles really start showing

Yup, the one thing I think is always individual in training is what movements a person uses, even when people use the same movements their unique levers make it slightly different from one person to the next. But if we were all the same this wouldn’t be as much fun!

Thanks man! I’ve got a long way to go though

I fell asleep yesterday before I could get all my food in for the day and woke up at 213.8! So I decided I would bloat myself up with a Denny’s breakfast and go deadlift this morning.

BW squats for warmup

DL
135x5

205x5
245x3
285x2
305x1
325x12 (vid)

My form always looks worse on DL from this angle, but the last rep was a little iffy still.

BB row
135x10
185x5
225x3
245x5
got to remember that the only reason I was able to PR on assistance on MP day was because they were different bodyparts, BBrows after deads to failure don’t work quite the same. Form was good though.

Edit: Maybe I’ll move BB rows to bench day and see how that feels.

Life note:

Finished school on the 19th then I’ve got a short job doing sparkwatch at the annual shutdown at a local mill, should be a few weeks but the pay is pretty awesome. Somewhere around $25/hr, it’s pretty sweet. But before that I have to move out of my current place and go on a little trip with some of my old friends to the coast. Then Calgary!

Going to be pretty busy here soon!

Nice job Trav, things are lookin good for you. Keep at it bro.
