They’ve pretty much got commercials calling us idiots, so ya

Found a new gym! 30$/month and I got a free month :D. Kind of ghetto compared to Golds but honestly I’m alot more comfortable in a place like this, you guys can probably relate.

Front squat
0xlots
45x10
135x5
185x5
225x3
255x1
275x2, hard
225x6

power squat

90x5
180x5
230x5
270x5
270x5
290x5

rdl
135x10
225x5
225x5, called it there

lb felt pretty good thoughout the session so it was good to get some work done again. Strength is down a bit but it’s to be expected since my training has been infrequent, I’ll be back at full speed once I can get into a routine here.

Interview for the new job tomorrow morning! Pretty stoked, hope I don’t mess it up lol

Good luck on the interview man, what kind of job?

You are going to kill it Trav. Good luck and get some video of this “ghetto” gym. I’m sure will once you get settled in.

It’s an opening position at a oil and gasline pipe manufaturing plant, got an interview through a new connection. Was planning on doing some construction/reno type work through my family but this job is higher paying and more secure. Hope I get it!

It’s great if you don’t want to think about your training for a long time (4 months per cycle) and if you have the discipline to stick with relatively lighter weights for a while at the beginning. I thought I did at the beginning but I like hitting heavy triples and singles too much.

The coolest part is that it adjusts your training max based on your performance on the test week, so you’re always going to be challenged by the reps and sets prescribed.

The not so cool part is that you only have a really hard set with the main lift once a month, and that on test is preplanned so if you have a bad day on the test you’re not gonna get another chance without messing up the program. The program isn’t very flexible when it comes to the main lifts.

Other than that it’s pretty much like 531, hitting the powerlifts for reps with virtually infinite assistance choices, just with a strict linear periodization progression for the main lifts. If you have the discipline you can make it work guaranteed, hope that helps.

did the medical exam for my new job, aced it. they made me do pushups and situps lol
