Oh it’s tight in the hips alright. If you wear the right kind of compression shorts it slides up pretty far, but I still have to hang from a bar to get it seated. If you don’t get it pulled up all the way your knees will come in like an invisible clamp is around the knees.

I pull conventional so the suit hasn’t been put to use on the DL yet. However, my lockout has hit a wall for a while now and it is really getting on my nerves. I had planned on testing it out for sumo yesterday until I tweaked my back. After I get the kinks worked out, will definitely give it a try.

Good stuff bro, yah that suit’s nuts, so nuts I might have to get one that’s kinda loose for over my briefs and then tighten it up a little bit, who knows. Hope the back gets better soon, I want to try one of those king sumo deadlifters out, single ply front, 2ply back, saw one at a meet and the guy pulled well in it, we’ll see.

I know a guy who pulls in the King conventional and he likes it a lot. He’s had some grip issues (little shrek hands), but he likes it a lot more than the regular Pro (which is what I use). I plan on giving Chris Clark’s sumo routine a shot and if it works out-and the Ace doesn’t pan out I’ll ‘invest’ in the King.

sounds like a good idea, see the program through and go after it, Chris Clark’s a smart guy, have to check out the routine. When I pulled conventional I did well w/ Coan/Phillipi, but I’ve since moved on from that and now I treat it like a ME and DE day, pull heavy in some form of deadlift, and maybe another week do some speed pulls or rep work. Let me know how the ace goes.

Listen I was just trying to get my swole on, work the pump a little bit. I was actually surprised at how good my conditioning is, abs need more work anyway, I don’t care if I can see them, just need more strength. I actually ran on the treadmill at 7.0mph for a couple of minutes without a problem which is great for me considering I haven’t ran since lacrosse over a year ago haha! I love powerlifting.

Nice work, cheater :wink: It looks like you’re doing pretty well with the Super Phenom. I’m assuming 550ish will be your balls-to-the wall 3rd attempt at the meet. How far out are you from the comp?

Yah I like this shirt a lot, I think 550’s not a bad idea as a 3rd attempt, meet’s August 2nd so I’m 3 weeks out.

ME Lower: 6/11/08

Squat:
making it short and sweet, upper back was killing me from shirt-benching and work so my squats sucked, worked up to an easy 635 in full gear w/ knee wraps straps up and smoked it out of the hole, about .5" from parallel. Will work up to 715, 725 next week. No sense in going to hard now and overtraining right before the meet.
