One of my college athletes taped a picture of Chuck Norris onto the inside of the power rack today, he said this way everyone would be too scared of Chuck to stop squatting and they wouldn’t take their eyes off of him to watch for the roundhouse to the face so they’d keep their heads up. I almost peed my pants hahaha. Awesome, beware of Chuck Norris, he doesn’t do push-ups, he pushes the world down.

Things are good nova, been real busy at work, baseball season’s coming up fast up here so getting the kids ready, pro leaves for spring training soon too, and the college guys are already practicing…
Last week was a deload, and I needed it, just to get some time to myself. Been working two jobs every day since Christmas, and I’m just mentally beat up. Need a break soon, once the season starts i’ll be backing off a little, but not too much. Just started peaking for a meet i’m going to do raw on March 7th…
oh yah, and my training partner ditched me so i’ve been training alone too, sucks…

The training partner thing really blows. I know this is only a hobby for us, but why do so many training partners not have the decency to take the high road and not bitch out like that? Grrr, this is just a huge pet peeve of mine.
Good luck with everything. Sounds like you have a full plate in front of you with work and training. I’ve been training raw as well and plan on lifting in an APA meet in early May.

Took the hammie for a test drive today, see how it was going to hold up, and I think I can make a push for this meet now, held up just fine on the squats, cut the assistance work b/c I wasn’t feeling good and busy at work, so next week pick it all up and start testing maxes…

Feeling really good about this raw meet on the 7th. Goals are 500 raw squat, 350 bench would be sick, and a 485pull for a meet pr, trying to play conservative, but the squat I plan on going nuts. Really want to get on that powerlifting watch ranking board, right now 515’s the one to beat. We’ll see. God Bless.
