Hello, I wanted to know if anyone out there has messed up their protocol before. Long story short, I was taking 120mg/wk e3.5d. I was interested in doing eod due to low shbg. My vial of test is 150mg/ml. I was taking 0.4 cc e3.5d. When I switched to eod, I did 0.1cc eod for a little over 2 weeks until I realized that was 60mg/wk. Interestingly enough I felt fantastic the first week and that was taking 60mg/wk by accident. Then in the second week I felt awful. My symptoms were labored breathing, blood pressure spikes, bad sleep, night sweats, disphoria, vision issues, and itchy chest. It was bad enough for me to go to my primary care and they did ekg, urine, and hemoglobin checks and all were perfect. So I know I am not dying. I am in the second week of my normal dose and want to know from any of you if this has happened to you, did you go through this, and how long did it take to overcome? I am hoping to be back to normal by next week.Thank you for listening!
I don’t think any of that was related to lowering testosterone.
Wierd, I basically was taking 120mg/wk and lowered it by half to 60 mg by accident. Would a hormone fluctuation that drastic not cause issues? I am perplexed because after seeing my primary care they were adamant I was in great health.
Drastic? No. How about going from 800mg one week to none the next?
Holy crap! I did get some blood tests back and my ferritin is low, popped an Iron pill and feeling better about 4 hours later…any of that make sense?
Yep. Low ferritin feels like death.
TRT doesn’t work very well with low iron, ferritin, trust me I know. There are all sorts of metabolic abnormalities that come with low iron. If you iron, ferritin (<30) are really low, you may need 200-250 mg elemental iron split up three time a day.
I take 140 mg iron chelated daily, the Vitamin Shop brand.
