Screw Terrell Owens

How the hell did the Eagles lose last night. When I went to bed they were up 20-7 and looked like they had the game well in hand.

They were actually running the ball very well.

The same way Dallas lost to Seatle and Washington. 57 minutes of solid play, three minutes of shit.

Cowboys are now in first place for the remainder of the year.
First part true, second part false. Sorry lads, appreciate the fluke from the Giants yesterday. They will come out next week fired up, and I’m counting the days till the showdown at the stadium…it will be for the division.

And I hate to say it, but I think God likes New York sports teams a hell of a lot more than Texas ones. Look at the stats…

The Giants need a QB that is old enough to get his driver’s license. No worries for my Cowboys. They ARE the NFC East champs. New York just doesn;t know it yet.

There is only one sport recognized by the Big Guy - Dallas Cowboy Football. Everything else is just the devil’s toys.

When was the last time a NY team one an NBA championship or an NFL title? Hell, if there was a salary cap in baseball NY would be a shitty sports town.

Yeah TO is probably the worst guy to ever play in the league.

Worse than Leonard Little, who killed a mother of two children in a DUI.

Worse than Randy McMichael, who kicked his wife down a flight of stairs earlier this year.

That is two of the top of my head. The only thing you can blame TO for is being selfish. So what? I would rather have a guy on me team who only cares about two things:

1.) Playing his ass off every time he takes the field.
2.) Getting paid as much money as possible to do it.

I would rather have him than Donovan “Choke Artist” McNabb. TO would’ve been the MVP of the Super Bowl last year if DMac hadn’t been staying out all night at a Maxim party the night before. The guy went out there and put his career on the line to try to help his team win the Super Bowl. So what if he’s an obnoxious fool? Now granted, he went too far. But you might want to note that when the controversy first started, most of his teammate’s stepped up and backed him instead of McNabb.

Also, after McNabb choked in the Super Bowl, TO was the only one who criticized him, but where was the line of other players on the team who backed McNabb up? Not there. Now granted, I’m not trying to say TO is perfect. This is what happens when you take a guy who is already egotistical and a little crazy to begin with and surround him with people who are constantly telling him how great he is and giving him bad advice.

The bottom line is, I can’t blame him for trying to get every penny he can get, because you can be damn sure that as soon as he can’t help a team win, he’s going to be kicked to the curb like every other proffesional athlete. The bottom line is, the guy can play football better than just about anybody else in the league. In my opinion, it’s the responsibility of the coaches and administration to handle a crazy player. Dennis Rodman was a friggin nut, but Phil Jackson basically kept him under control. The real problem here is Andy Reid, not TO.
good post.

Because they played my Cowboys, and you pissed God off when you said Texas Stadium was a crapper (paraphrasing, but you pissed him off nonetheless).

I hope you have learned a lesson about taking the Lord’s team in vain.

so are the Texans the Debil’s team?

I don’t even think the devil would have anything to do with a team that sucks as bad as Houston does.

I think they have to play in Oakland - or maybe just owned by Al Davis. I’m not sure.

looks like the great Wufwugy has the Lord and the Devil outmatched because the great Wufwugy’s team plays in Indianapolis.

Hahaha. Yea yea. Keep running your mouth. The Giants are well known as one of the oldest, greatest football franchises in the league.

The Knicks are legendary in the NBA…what’s that basketball team you guys have? Oh yea, that one that sucks after Kidd went to the Nets (and brought them to a championship).

The Devils? Enough said. Dynasty in the 90s.

The Rangers? Yet again, classic team.

And as much as I hate to say it, being as I am a Red Sox fan…but them damn Yankees have about 26 or 27 championships. Even the Mets win once in a while.

I don’t know Rainjack. NY sports…just don’t get better.

A few thoughts:

Of course what T.O. did was minor compared to other players. He’s not Rae Carruth. But what he did affected his and his teammate’s gameplay. You just don’t routinely bash your teammates.

It’s the same reason a QB doesn’t go nuts when the receiver drops a few he shouldn’t have. The receiver knows he should have caught it, he doesn’t need a pissed off QB yelling at him. If McNabb was tired in the Superbowl, he knew it. He didn’t need a terminally adolescent Owens going to the media about it.

As far as teammates backing T.O. and not McNabb; well, who do you think needs more backing up? McNabb can talk to the media and not sound like a whiny little bitch. Owens can barely put together coherent sentences. T.O. needs the support and little pats on the back. McNabb has had to put with everything from being drafting instead of Ricky Williams (remember the boos on draft day) to the Limbaugh ramblings.

I still don’t understand his bitching with his contract. It was fine a year earlier. There were no major signings in the offseason that suddenly made his contract obsolete. What’s the problem? Oh wait…nevermind, he has an asshole agent. Next question!

Look, teams can forgive hookers, cocaine, and other felonies, as long as the output on gameday stays the same. But when a single player starts to tear a team (a good team, too) apart, he has to go. Hell, I enjoyed a lot of T.O.'s celebrations. He was entertaining and a hell of a receiver. But he’s a selfish asshole who doesn’t know how to part of a team.

He ripped into Garcia and McNabb more than once, too. These were not isolated incidents. Let’s not forget that he also handpicked McNabb to be his next passer. He’s a cancer to a team.

I also disagree with those that say he plays hard every down. B.S. I’ve seen him short-arm and alligator-arm a few catchable balls. And why is not listed among the best blocking receivers? He definitely has the size and strength to be a great blocker. He doesn’t want to.

Bottom line is Owens got what he deserved; not for being flashy and celebratory, but for repeatedly criticizing his teammates. I don’t like McNabb, either, though; so this isn’t about defending Mcnabb. I don’t like him because The Eagles have been good and hard to beat recently. I try to find negative things about him that can really make me hate him, but I can’t. He seems like a decent guy, I just don’t like him.

4th and 26 still makes me cringe,
Toddy

How 'bout TO in TO? Being that he’s a superstar in the NFL, he’d destroy in the CFL.

Let’s face it, he will never change. Soon, if not now, he might be out of NFL options.

I agree 100%. He may play harder than Randy Moss, but he doesn’t play harder than anyone else. He short arms more than his share.

I have heard too many of his defenders claim otherwise.
