I’m not sure how I feel about being pigeon holed as “The Racist Guy” as two posters have called for my presence in this thread. Ok, so a few people have mentioned the “twist” at the end of American History X. I have seen that movie twice, I did not see anything resembling a “twist.” Could someone please shed some light??? Maybe I forgot something?

Ive lived so long around a 99% Latino(they are just called Mexicans here) population all my life here with a friendly atmosphere but Cali was a different feel. The hostility I felt from Latinos was intense. Im sure its not like that every in the state but it was intense where I went, which was L.A
Well latinos is only a broad term fellow friends a Puerto Rican is not the same as a Mexican. Like a German is not the same as a Frenchy.
And yes Farmer son, Mexicans here in Texas usually agree with the white man but in the west coast its a different vibe. Here in Texas we are Tejanos. Seraphim must be a chopi.

Well, it is different depending where you live places like southern cali, parts of texas, etc. where immigrants are more likely poor and/or from border states will bubble latino because it is more likely they are mixed race.
Also many teens will bubble latino because they do not want to feel like outsiders, I had to deal with a lot of shit growing up because I was white. I have cousins who have german last names who would dress/act like your stereotypical mexican gangsters just to fit in where they grew up.

RE White guilt. I don’t have any. You see I’m a descendant of slaves myself. If you’re interested in racism you might want to look into the history of Ireland and the Irish diaspora in Australia.
