Ok…did not know that…thanks
Which is exactly the point…our “media” are vermin.
Still no apology for the “Hands up, Don’t Shoot” lie
And this moronic myth that police are wantonly killing blacks
FACTS -
You’re more likely to die of bee sting or lightning than by a cop but these pukes would have you believe you’re in constant danger of it
They also push the narrative that the “victim” was always innocent. Every time a black person is shot it’s because of racism but they never explain why all of the white people who have been killed by cops, and more whites are killed by police than blacks, were shot. The media is the devil.
What country is that?
United States of America.
Here’s what Kentucky does, apparently:

Yeah absolutely. BLM and the whole woke narrative is built around lies and exaggerated manipulations.
100%
Stopped watching the news years ago except a little BBC news occasionally.
Pretty much anything “online” cannot be trusted.
Every. Fucking. Time. And the picture with the Easter bunny
Manipulates self-loathing whyte liberals into donating… I love it
I have an observation that seems to consistently separate the liberal from the conservative in Statistical terminology. This will likely have @Njord thinking a little.
Statistical Decision Theory: It is the old fire vs fire alarm example of Decision Theory. It is defined in a two-by-two decision table.
| No Fire | Fire | |
|---|---|---|
| No Alarm | No Error | Type II |
| Alarm | Type I | No Error |
In most every situation the liberal demands zero Type II Error, as in “no child left behind.”
In most every situation the conservative wants to minimize Type I Error, as it is economical or “for the greater good.”
Each type error reduction generally increases error of the other type. That is, to assure that absolutely no child is left behind there will be greater Type I Error, which is slowing the learning process (alarm).
But if you minimize slowing down the learning process (less Type I Error) there will be more children left behind in the learning process (greater Type II Error.)
Apply the same thought process to arrest or fail to arrest.
It doesn’t apply in my mind. If I’m reading your post correctly, it is essentially reinforcing your earlier greater good statement.
In this scenario we are discussing individual liberty vs big government. So while I don’t want to devolve into a liberal vs conservative Super Bowl style discussion, I disagree that supporting the greater good is the conservative viewpoint here, at least in your context of setting an example by supporting police regardless of mistakes, and presumably ramrodding consequences of mistakes through. It’s a very big government, big brother line of thinking and one I’m not onboard with.
I’ll take white liberal over coward white conservative blatant racism any day
If the goal is to not arrest any innocent person similar as is the goal to never fail to detect a fire, the two-by two decision table is:
| Guilty | Innocent | |
|---|---|---|
| Arrested | No Error | Type II Error |
| Not Arrested | Type I Error | No Error |
Once it is your goal to nearly never arrest an innocent person (Type II Error), you open yourself up to failing to arrest a greater percentage of guilty people (Type I Error). I suppose it is “choose your poison.”
But the court system is in place to allow “effective” law enforcement.
When you think about blatant racism exhibited by white conservatives, what examples come to mind?
You’ll take the racist you don’t know over the racist you do know?
I would err on the opposite side of big government & bulldozing mistakes to hold a narrative for sure. I consider myself a classic conservative. I realize guilt is ultimately up to the court system but believe this scenario is the antithesis of “guilty until proven innocent”, at least in its intent. You can’t just run around making mistakes and laying them on the courts to figure out. This would be very 3rd world, gulag-ish.
It’s not too much to ask for integrity in operation/application. Especially in a case like Scottie’s, as it appears more and more the officer did a dumbass thing, erroneously levied charges and is evidently now saying he shouldn’t have done so… but the matter has left his hands for the DA. This is a huge problem.
And even if it does end well, it’s safe to say that it’s because it became a high profile, high attention situation with lots of oversight and scrutiny. Not because making a mistake right was going to be “business as usual”. I realize this can’t be proven, however.
I’ve discussed this sentiment previously and a table classifying responses isn’t changing my mind.
I think the common white liberal is relatively harmless.
Like your neighbor, the mailman, friend, teacher or a classmate.
Obviously Trump. Remember when he said if you don’t know who you’re voting for, you ain’t black. Or how about when he said black kids don’t know what computers are. Or the whole super predator thing.
