Scottie Scheffler & The Thin Blue Line

He’s a troll. I’m just wondering how long it will be before he starts with the antisemitism.

Ah ok, thanks. Nothing more cringe than some cretin thinking “bootlicker” is edgy

Look at his join date, 3 days ago. He joined just to post on this thread.

I never said i trusted either. I said the few articles that i pursued seemed to not really have the whole story and where more interested to speak about his golf game.
I said it would be nice to see a police report. My thinking was that maybe we could hear both sides.
Maybe if you had actually read the thread instead of cherry-picking just one of the comments i made you would have changed your mind and not posted this BS.

I don’t even know what this means.

People do this all the time. It’s sometimes a backpack left by a homeless guy. It’s not an issue for the caller/reporting person/complainant.

I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact the police officer claims he was dragged by the car that scheffler was driving and suffered injuries and pant damage

however, scheffler was able to make his morning tee time

i am having a hard time believing scheffler would have been released that quickly by the police department if he dragged and injured one of their own

Police Departments don’t make those decisions; that’s the court system/magistrate(some States, at least).

The guy likely has no criminal history, is not a flight risk, and has no trouble paying bond.

You forgot the most important thing: he’s white.

To be clear, call in a bomb threat. I think you’re skipping over the point.

Yeah I’ve never understood this either. And the officer is exposed to the most risk. I would imagine there is some kind of reasoning behind it, like assuming people will vacate the adjacent lane as they pass, but that never actually happens so process should probably be reconsidered to accommodate.

A best practice point of consideration for sure, but not in the same ballpark as the unfolding scenario around Scottie.

The current event status & present ambiguity around specifics for some flavor to savor.

So, actually commit a crime?

I must be. I thought the point was that a normal citizen couldn’t call in a bomb threat that turned out to be something else.

I thought the fact he survived the encounter made that obvious.

This was at 6am…courts/magistrate up that early?

Good article. I wish they wouldn’t try to turn it in to a BLM and race relations conversation because they blur the line between police overreach and “everything is racist and wrong” , it distracts from Scottie’s interaction and will have readers automatically line up in “teams” with a predefined view and desire to “win”, but it does offer some interesting perspective to consider around the current events.

What I didn’t like about the article is the statement “Welcome to America”

police over reach or abuse of power or ego trips happens all over world and has happened all thru out history

the article is definitely biased against the police imho due to that statement, refused to read any further

Yeah it sets off a tone of divisional contention immediately.
