lol we are in about the same weight class so I gotta step up my game and get close to 1500 so I can at least pose somewhat of a challenge

I dont understand why people like curling near or in squat racks. During my sets I was surrounded by 3 curlers. I think they were plotting against me.
Haven’t you heard? Curling in the squat rack is out, but curling right up against it, now that is what all the cool kids are doing.

back work, as much as I could felt awful in general
not a great day but main lifts got done
Bench 245x3 paused 280x3 paused (pr)
more benching to include wides, dead bench, and other various triceps exercises
very happy with this pr 3 good paused reps. I am hoping this carries over to having a great 1 rep max in 9 weeks

more squats at 315 → well during my 5th set I felt something in my upper quad and shut it down. It is still tender 2 days later but its not too horrible. Maybe a slight tear or something. Glad I shut it down. will push deadlifts back a day.

sorry for lack of posts but I have been crazy busy at work. Im on a deload now. On a side not I have rolled my ankle 2 times this week, what gives! No injury though just embarrassment. Quad feeling better.

Not worried about going light at this time on my deadlift. I plan on taking doubles up to 510-520 before contest. My goal on this is mid 500’s lots of volume on assistance deadlifts.

Good session. Elbow is feeling a little better. I am on track with my bench right now. I am getting into PR’s starting next week. My previous 1RM was 315. I am hoping to do a double with that.

bout to hit the gym, and I want to hit a PR today so I am going for 430x2 on squat for a rep PR. I will try to video it. This will put me on track for 500+ in a month. I figure I need to get up to 440-455x2. My best double when I hit 475 was 425.
