x2 on what VT said

Thanks guys

did some 2 board the other day and some deads,

I feel normal again which you always take for granted before you get sick. Its amazing how in 3 days your body fixes itself. I am just glad I dont have to figure out a way to rush back to the station and try to get my gun belt off before disaster strikes.

benched yesterday 3 paused reps with 265. Did some cat bench and dead benches. Also for some reason I did 1 set of triceps pushdown for 75 reps. Sick rip Brah.

Squatted today. Dude worked in with me and told me parallel squatting hurts the knees. Should have known from how high he was squatting that comment was coming. Meanwhile his knees were folding in and way past his front foot with the weight on the balls of his feet. No use in trying to correct stupidity.

VTballer perfect post workout

Fuckin ay cotton, fuckin ay!

Im just gonna assume the bourbon is somewhere in the background

off to the side gotta wash it down somehow

did some deadlifting and deficits. Cramped in my back a little today. feeling ok just treading water right now.

also I board pressed. I have started to pause these lately before I was just bouncing them. I figure I get a little better leg drive this way. I am pretty excited about my bench lately. It has been feeling good. I am hoping to get in the mid 300’s this November. I am going to send in my entry form for the maryland tomorrow. I am going to try to stay in the 275 weight class. This year I will be closer to 275 than 242.

deload bench and nothing special

I weigh 266 as of right now which is fine

I have been thinking numbers as usual and feel that this meet I will be happy with a 500+ squat 550+ deadlift and 330+ bench. I am thinking 1400 is reasonable with how I have been training which in looking back is ridiculous considering 1 year ago I totaled 1223. I am excited which I hope will translate to 12 weeks of kick ass training after this deload.

By the looks of how your training has gone, 1400 should be a gimme.

only in Baltimore

I am hoping so

more deloading, did some mobility work and rolled a lot today. Just kind of getting my plan together for the next 12 weeks. Will try to be a bit more detailed in my log and include things like nutrition and supplements.

Are you finished working with Josh Bryant?

unfortunately I ran into some money issues dealing with my escrow account on my house. So the extra money I had now goes to that. The good news is my girl is moving in soon so that will free up some money since she will take over a few bills. I will be running the Josh Strength Method however. I figured out the percentages and will be choosing the assistance that has been working for me.

Sorry to hear about that.

You have had great success on the squat with Josh’s program and what is in the book isn’t a great deal different than what he does with clients. I’m guessing you’ll continue to add weight to the bar and smash many PRs.

yea I am thinking so, my mind is right for this training cycle

what a shitty end to my work week. Need a new profession tired of dealing with idiots with Pcp. Would divulge more but cant at this time. Ill just say there was a very angry 270lb officer yesterday.

Off to bench 1st day of 12 week prep.

USPA is having a meet in Hagerstown on December 8th. You interested in doing that one?

You could always move to a rural area and deal with meth heads. That’s what my brother-in-law has to deal with constantly.

ill look into it, is there a bench only category. Was thinking of doing something like that in between. My bench sucks and that may help it a little.
