Scared E2 Will Be Crashed. Am I Okay?

I got my bloods and had slightly elevated E2 at 38. Doc said it should be in the 20s.

The doc told me to take .5mg Arimidex yesterday, then last night I did my normal T injection, and then this morning took another .5mg Arimidex. I do not take any HCG or anything else.

Is this going to totally crash my E2 now? I’m scared this total dose of 1mg in a 24 hour span is going to crash my E2 and my girlfriend is flying in to visit me tomorrow!

It will come back if so. Sometimes you need to experiment a little with the dose to see how to calibrate your own levels. People take this much sometimes for estrogen control. Some people find it too strong.

So far I don’t feel any different, and I’m thankful it will come back quickly if so.

Is it common for a dose like this to crash someone though? Surely there have been people that took a full arimidex pill (1mg) one time accidentally and nothing happened from it. Or is it a one-time dose that can mess be so drastic?

What is your T dose/wk?
Most guys taking 100mg/wk need no AI
Everyone responds to E2 levels differently and this is going to take time and you will need to experiment. You need to buy mini blood test to find your sweet spot. No one has your magic pill.
My SHGB is very low so I do my best with an E2 in the low 20’s Do you know your SHGB?
Good luck.

I saw Dr. Rand McClain say he tells trt patients to take a 1mg pill and call him in the morning when they’re complaining about estrogen.

My t dose weekly is 120mg, broken into two 60mg injections 3.5 days apart. No other HCG or anything.

Could this single dose of 1mg arimidex I took totally screw me over and crash me? I’m not going to take anymore.

My SHBG prior to TRT was high…62.

I’m not sure what you mean by this lol

IMO no. All this hormone stuff is so slow. But if your weekly T dose is 120mg/wk I would not do more than .125mg with each shot, so .25mg/wk. Wait 40 days for the T cyp to go steady state and get a mini blood test. TT, FT, E2 sensitive, and prolactin.

Thank you!

Your doctor is an idiot! A 38 estrogen value doesn’t need any intervention whatsoever.

If you are having symptoms, simply lower your dosage or inject more often.

Were you having high e2 related side effects? Or did your doctor treat a number on a page?

Slight feelings of “dead dick” and not getting erections throughout the day…I believe he was treating a number on a page honestly.

I just want to make sure this taking of 1mf Arimidex won’t crash my E2 now. My gf is flying in to visit me this evening and I want to perform.

You dont need E2 regulation. Your body can do this for you. Your E is not suppose to be in the 20s if you are running higher T numbers. At 120mg/wk you should not have any E related issues. I took an AI for a couple if weeks when I first began. Then I quit taking the stuff because its simply not meant for me to be on that shit. So dont take it and let your body do its thing. If you insist on taking it, you will soon learn where your limits are. I run a higher dose, no AI and after a good year of TRT my body has settled into a good pace. It took over 20 years of regular ole living to go into a decline, it should take some time to get it all back. My E is in the mid 40s and my dick game is strong.

I agree with you! After more research, I see I clearly did not need this at all.

Will me taking this 1mg of arimidex mess me up now though? My girlfriend flies into town this evening and I know we’re going to have sex. Will I still be able to, or is my E2 going to be totally crashed now?

@middleages

Performing/getting it up is just as much mental as it is hormones. Stop worrying about it and enjoy yourself. Do you want to crash your E2? No. But if you keep worrying about it, your mind will stop it and could not even be related to the E2.

I’ve crashed my E2 for longer periods and still performed. Slight difference then without crashing? Maybe, not enough to matter though. Again, just enjoy your time with your girl and have fun.

You’re right. Adding this worry and stress will just make it worse. You’re 100% right. Thank you!

Everything absolutely worked out! In fact, I absolutely devastated her in the bedroom…so I clearly did NOT crash my E2 at all lol
